The Home Depot Rental Center at Idaho Falls

Begin your home improvement project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Idaho Falls fill in the gaps in your toolbelt with the tools you don't have on hand. You can rent a tool and return it when you're done. If it makes sense to have those rental tools around all the time, ask about purchasing used tools. Compared to the new items on our store shelves, they're discounted.

Tame the Lawn and Trees
Keep up with summer growth with outdoor power equipment rentals. Neaten the yard with a lawn mower rental and the driveway and sidewalks with a rental pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed before you know it.

Rent Concrete Mixers to Finish That Project
Stabilize your outdoor jobs with a concrete mixer rental. Use bigger concrete mixers for large projects. You can even rent a mixer that can be towed behind your truck. We've also got concrete saw rentals and concrete grinders in several sizes to refine existing cement and concrete projects.

Load 'N Go Trucks
If you'd like to rent a tool but lack the room in your car to transport it, we can help with that, too. Check out our Load 'N Go rental vehicles and rent a truck. Stop taking up room in the driveway with an old pickup truck for times you need to move something. Just rent what you need when you need it and keep your driveway open for hopscotch, grilling, or a round of hoops.

How do I rent tools or trucks?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools or trucks you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You might also check out our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more details on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.

Can I rent a tool by the hour?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When do I return the tools?

It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before selecting a vehicle.

Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?

Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?

No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
