Significant and substantial deterioration in the garden center at this Home Depot, compared to when it started out some years back, in terms of the number and types of plants available; and compared to the usual Home Depot on the Mainland, the garden center here is pathetic. Seems like whoever runs the Kona HD garden center needs to visit one of the Mainland ones and see how it's done....

Renee in Kitchen Design is the greatest, patient and understanding as I changed my mind many times.. offered helpful advice regarding proper layout, etc.. Was happy to produce my design and then change it again and again... understood this was important to me. Both ladies are awesome, worked with Dawn briefly too, both are knowledgeable and great to work with, highly recommend!

The store did not have a couple of things I was looking for and the biggest thing was cluttered isles! I Had to go two more isles down because there was too much clutter I couldn't get my cart through. Other then that, it's a great place to shop for building materials. Jim in Windows was very professional and helpful and got our windows ordered with a breeze. Very nice to deal with. We highly recommend him to anyone ordering Windows.

This store is located on the Big Island in the state of Hawaii, everything has to be shipped in. Some items I have been looking for have been on order for quite sometime. The joys of island living. Employees are the best at this store, very friendly and helpful.

I'm a general contractor who recently moved my family to Kona from California. I've had a home in Hawaii for 8 years. My wife and I have used this store for most of our remodeling and construction projects on the house. This store is clean, the shelves are well stocked, and the product lines are very complete (or obtain through special order). We're particularly impressed with the staff. Every time we've gone into the store, we've been met by employees asking if they could help us find something or answer questions. They're friendly, conversant, and available to help. I don't have any reservations about sending my wife to this store for inquiries, purchases, or special orders. Of the numerous Home Depot stores from which I've made purchases, this is one of the best stores I've seen.

Some of the staff working the floor as "customer service reps" don't seem to know the meaning of the word service! On a recent Wednesday afternoon I spent nearly two hours wandering around looking for things I needed. One female rep literally rolled her eyes when I asked her where a product could be found - thankfully her co-worker felt more kindly towards me, and directed me to the correct aisle number. I cut numerous pieces of wood trim to the sizes I needed, and was later told by the cashier that customers are not supposed to cut their own product! I'm usually pretty good at reading signs and following directions, and I would have been super happy to have someone else do the work for me....but where were the floor staff??

The staff were super helpful, we had an issue with a special order, our doors came in too large - we were giving a partial refund. We ended up being very satisfied with the outcome, they were more than helpful in this matter.

The employees who assisted us today were thorough and very considerate of our advanced age. Thank you, Home Depot!

From Start to Finish, I was assisted with selecting the right Lumber, cutting it to size, helping me find a Framing Nailer, Nails, & the right Safety Gear for, My Home Depot DIY Project.

It is not always easy or simple to purchase the exact model of the washing machine from another state on the phone CASHIER TESIAH - TLV0146 made this experience simple, pleasant and easy. She quickly found the model of the washer I was looking for, arranged for delivery and installation, plus pick up of the old washer from my home on the Big Island. Congratulations on hiring this caliber of customer service representative.

Every time I visit this store I always find the things that i need. Their price are very reasonable. The staff are friendly & helpful. I would recommend this store to all my friends or the people I know.

The associate that was helping me was not sure about a question I asked her so she quickly retrieved that information from a senior associate. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help.

I went to this store to buy cabinets and appliances to remodel our laundry room. I waited 40 minutes in the appliance department for an associate to help me. I hunted down 3 different employees and they all paged someone to come to appliances and no one ever came. I went to Customer service and asked there for help and the girl at the desk told me they were looking for Donavan and couldn't find him. I asked if anyone else could help me and she said no. This is not the first time I have had terrible service in this store. It is pathetic how they think they can run a business like this as I know many people here in Kona feel as I do. The people are not knowledgable or trained and it seems as though no one really cares if you buy there or not.

The girls at the Prodesk (Jamie & Kelly) are great. They are on top of every order, knowledgable about the material and its location in the store, and are very fast in the check out with adding all the right taxes, pro rewards and account info. No complaints about the prodesk girls!!! Good job ladies!!!

Nice selection of products that easily caught eye.

Boxes and carts of supplies seemed to be everywhere, blocking aisles and views across the store today. On the other hand, an associate was very helpful when the self checkout kept locking up, and another associate helped us find an item but she had to ask someone else where the items were (curtain rods). The products were so stuffed into their holders under other hanging products that we had to take several items down just to get to ones we wanted to look at and buy.

I prefer coming to home depot, because of the service, if I need help in a department someone will go out of there way to help me. At Lowes no one greets or even help, they always leave me waiting for 30 minutes or more.
