Did you know?

This store helps divert waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.

This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot sold to Trex last year. This is used to manufacture composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.

How do I lessen window draftiness?
When your windows have a lot of condensation or frost, you likely need to replace or reseal them. If you can't swap out the old ones immediately, seal them with caulk, weather stripping, or a window insulation kit. Clean any mold and mildew first, and wear a respirator to avoid inhaling it. Fill any other gaps with foam tape and cover window a/c units too to keep the warm air inside and the chill out. These steps should help stem the draftiness until you can replace the windows.

What can I work on when it's cold outside?
In colder climates, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, it may be a great time to clean up your indoor workspaces instead. A few days cleaning and organizing the shed, garage, or basement will pay off when the weather warms. If your tools and gardening supplies are all set, tackle cleaning the rest of the house. Get out the cleaning supplies and cleaning tools, then give everything a good scrub.

How do I prepare for snow and freezing temperatures?
When you live in a location where snow may occur, it's a good idea to upgrade or organize your snow removal tool kit before a winter storm hits. Have a gas can ready to top off your gas snowblower if it's not already filled for the season, or check the battery on your electric one. Remember to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep ice melt or salt and a salt spreader. Make sure your outdoor spigots are drained and covered, too, with all garden hoses disconnected. Simple steps like these keep you ready for whatever winter weather brings.

Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?
Yes, the Longview store does offer in-person Kids Workshops. These free in-store events take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am-noon. Registration for kids workshops is now available online and secures your spot at the event. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to order your kit.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular present for the holidays, housewarming parties, and birthdays. DIYers know these gift cards are fun to give and to receive. Purchase them at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store, all with no additional fees.

Heck of a fantastic place ta shop!
I haven’t had a problem from this store. I been using it for 6 yrs. Now. I realize that with Covid the phone might ring off the wall for folks calling in for answers. But each time I call the help is awesome. I like it that they carry Dewalt & Milwaukee tools.

                  CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH A WOW!
Much to our disbelief we had the best experience looking for window blinds with two of the customer service agents, Ruth and Tai. Both were friendly and efficient!

                    They treat customers like criminals.
I go to check out and there are no checkers open, only self checkout. Then after I'm done an employee chases me down insists on looking through my stuff for stolen goods. Do your job and check me out, or don't treat us like criminals after we've done your job.
