Im so sick of being told that I have to utilize self check out, it’s been the same Home Depot associate! First experience was in garden, he’s not familiar to me, but each time I decline self check out and patiently wait my turn only to be met with supremely glib comments about how “I” need to get used to it! Many months later here I am today, I pick up pavers that match my driveway out front, find one plant that I wanted and manure, I go to the cashier line and am instructed to use self check out, I decline, the older male Black associate with ‘Veteran’ patch on his left side says “that is all we have here”, a phrase I recall from months ago, I said no, I want assistance from an actual Home Depot associate, one raises her hand I proceed forward the male associate instructs me to go to an unmanned register I decline and advance to a ‘live’ cashier. The cashier was friendly enough, however the image of the paver sign I took wasn’t sufficient for her to find or locate a sku, even though the brand and size were captured, never the less I moved forward with two items and left the pavers, upon concluding my transaction the male associate came over and asked me how I was doing, I said ‘not great’ he made under his breath comments, it was really rude! I don’t know about you, but for me self check out doesn’t work, I prefer not to use it, after all there is no benefit to me, and two other customers needed Home Depot associates to intervene with their transactions. Home Depot, I have been a long time customer, I have a few pennie’s invested in stock but today was just an awful display of the lack of customer service that seems to be the direction you’re going.

My husband came in with this metal piece. He held it up to Joe when he first walked in before my husband could finish explaining Joe said aisle 33. Now my husband can't stop talking about how awesome Joe is.

Loved the experience, they were all so helpful and friendly and fast. I walk out with a smile in my face.

It was Christmas Eve and I needed a tree, but the lot was empty and the associates were sweeping up. I ask it there were any more trees and much to my surprise they had found one out back that still had life in it. The kindness of the employees was tremendous. I thank God for their help and compassion.

Everything is easy to find and the store associates are extremely helpful!! I didn’t plan on it but got a plant after a wonderful conversation with an associate in the garden department.

I was extremely happy with the selection and prices of the cut flowers. The flowers were fresh and neatly displayed.

Bought EVERYTHING I needed in just one trip. AMAZING customer service thanks to Sam, who was knowledgeable, professional, extremely helpful, and hands down made my shopping experience a productive and pleasurable one. I walked out with a cart and flatbed full of items. Lonnie was kind enough to assist my husband and I with loading the car.

We are a volunteer group that plants trees in Venice and surrounds. We shop a lot at Home Depot. We buy soil and soil amendments, worm castings, Neem oil, wood stakes (the flawed ones because we can't afford the perfect ones) and we have bought a pressure washer - thanks to donors and lots of spades, brooms, clippers etc.

I was kindly greeted, asked questions, and guided to the specific appliances I needed! All my questions were answered, the service was efficient, and complete. I couldn't of been more pleased with the shopping experience and the kindness of the service manager, Tai's help!!!!!!!!

Tai, was the best. She was very helpful and thought I could have bought the wrong set online. As she researched she found that it was the correct products and applied my discount right there and did a new order and canceled my old one. I want you to know in the 10 years I’ve been going there she has been the ONLY one who has ever been kind… if you need a washer or dryer ask for Tai …

Marina Del Rey Home Depot is simply the most effective and efficient store in Los Angeles!

Again, Jose Luis was outstanding and the other 3 I interacted with were terrific too.

Don’t trust online pickup!!

I went to the Home Depot in Marina Del Rey yesterday and had a really good experience with a young man in the paint department who was kind, patient, and very helpful even though he was the only one working there. He encouraged me to take my time and explained all the details about the spray paints I needed for my project. While we were talking, a manager named Mayra came over and started speaking to him in a very rude and dismissive way. She was talking down to him and another employee, and it was embarrassing to watch. That is not how leaders should behave, not how managers should behave, and to do it in front of customers was extremely uncalled for. After she left, I told the young man how sorry I was that he had to deal with that, and he was still polite enough to defend her, saying she might be having a rough morning, which really showed his character. Another employee nearby quietly confirmed that this kind of treatment happens often. I later found Mayra and told her directly how disappointed I was and that her behavior was unacceptable. When I went back to thank the young man again, he told me that she told him I had gone to complain about him, which is a flat-out lie and very manipulative. I tried to find her again but couldn’t, though if she’s still there next time, I will absolutely remind her again that respect goes both ways. Because of employees like that young man, I would shop here again, but because of managers like Mayra, I would think twice. Home Depot needs to address managers who make their team feel small instead of supported.

We shop at Home Depot Marina Del Rey every week. They don't always have what we need and or they may have them but they are not unboxed and in the bays for sale. We need to find a customer service rep for that dept. Overall though, we have been going to this store for over 30 years and they have mostly been good to us.

I love the store but not a huge fan of the parking lot. I'm really tired of the people coming up to me trying to help me load my truck, selling food or fruit, or belts and hats, and especially the big trash hauling trucks.

I was in need of some items for a toilet repair. I am a homeowner with limited experience and I had some questions about products but couldn't find anyone who would help me I asked at least 4 people who were employees in the area but everyone I asked said they didn't work in that area and I asked if they could call for some help. I had been there for about 30 minutes before I found someone who tried to help me and was finally able to get someone who was knowledgeable to help me. The last two employees I met were very nice and helpful and I was able to get what I needed. So that's why the 2 star rating.

The staff here KNOWS the inventory and are willing to help you.

The Home Depot person (Carla?) in the bathroom furnishes area painstaking went through every fixture the store had in stock searching for one that met our needs. When nothing in stock could be found she ordered it online for us. We received the items that evening from UPS!

My husband and I went to the Home Depot in Marina del Rey for some sand or decomposed granite. We found what we needed easily. Everything was well marked and well laid out. But we found other things that we didn’t even think we would find that we also bought like toilet paper. We bought a screwdriver also and I almost bought some plants because there was such a gorgeous selection. Checkout was fast and easy and the whole experience was fun. They had more things than I had any idea that a Home Depot carried!

We bought LG refrigerator few days ago and we can't wait for the delivery.

Visit was not great, we wanted to use our store credits to purchase some tape and Ram Board, we used one credit with no problem. the next one we were told needed ID, so with a 50/50 chance of it being my ID we found it must have been Mom's ID needed, so we were told we had to wait 24 hours to use it. We then used another store credit (we have a few from 2023 when we handicapped Mom's bathroom)... this again showed it was not the correct ID. So we had to pay via credit card instead of using the store credit..... very frustrating. We want to purchase a sink faucet available only at Home Depot online, all set only to find we cannot use this 'store credit'....! We honestly like to shop Home Depot but this is making it hard to do so since we have our money tied up in your store credit which we have been unable to use :-(
