Very pleased with my new patio light! I looked online and saw it and several others were in stock at the Mattoon store. Employees were very friendly and helpful when I shopped at the store.

In the past, I’ve had a hard time finding an employee that was helpful in finding what I was looking for. Yesterday, an employee actually came up to me and not only directed me to the aisle containing the item I was looking for, but actually led me there and found the exact item. It was not readily available on the shelf, but boxed up and above the shelves. He the employee was friendly and knew exactly where to locate the items I was looking for.

The staff of the store are extremely friendly and helpful. Most of the time they seek to help you. You don’t have to look for them.

They don't know what you want or need

I visited the Mattoon HD Garden Center on 07/24/25. Garden Associate Greg, and a kind lady (Garden Cashier) helped me. Both were courteous and very knowledgeable about the products I needed. I have always received exceptional service from Mattoon HD Associates.

Needed refrigerator filter after Mattoon’s water issues and they had the right one for my fridge. Was terribly expensive but works fine.

Waiting on item to be delivered to the Mattoon store for pickup. The store itself was clean and in order. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Lady took care of us, Talked about difference in paint. Got all we needed. Had two gift cards, young man helped us at self checkout. Much appreciated.

Everytime I have had to ask an employee something they are always very polite and helpful.

I like going to Home Depot, found some veggies I wanted. Some dirt, too. I'm from out of town, therefore I chose to go there.

Many common items either out of stock or in very short supply. No one willing to help you find anything. Horrible lumber quality with no one to help you get lumber off of their racks.

You guys had an employee named Ricky that was an absolute wonderful to deal with. He came to us, helped us out picking out a mower and he loaded it in my truck as well. The customer service staff was exceptional as well helping us with everything.

Our Home Depot store is well stocked, and if we need a part for our business, they almost always have it. How fortunate our community is to have a Home Depot store.

Arrived on time. Great help getting it loaded in my truck.

Just needed a few pieces of larger sized lumber to get started on the next phase of a garage make-over project, I knew where the pieces I needed were at in the store, and within 10 minutes, I was through the checkout, loaded up and leaving for home. That's perfect for me!

Always a wonderful place to shop and the garden area knocks it out of the park every spring

I highly recommend this Home Depot. The people are great and I always feel well taken care of.

Lots of things to choose from and helpful employees help you find what you need

Employees standing around talk amongst themselves with no one offering any help. No stock on several common items that I needed for my projects. Whenever we have the time, we drive about 55 miles round trip to shop at the closest competitor.

Gangster Grandma Carolyn is an asset to this store! She always goes the extra mile to help. A+ employee

We had a cartful of misc. returns from a large remodel project. I would not have been surprised if they just told us time had expired or some other excuse, but Jimmy very patiently identified all of the returns and took care of us.

The friendly, and helpful staff always make shopping at Mattoon Home Depot and pleasant experience.

Employees were genuinely concerned about my situation. They charged my phone for me and offered a comfortable chair while I waited for the Mrs. to bail me out.

The service desk and all departments at the Mattoon store are very helpful. My questions are answered and products found.
