Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. You can also call first to inquire about a tool or piece of large equipment, or check out our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your favorite store. If it's not, check another nearby store or reach out to our Rental Center associates to learn where that tool may be available. How long can I rent tools?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the week, day, or month, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent one. As there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
How do I get my large equipment rental?
Depending on your location, you can get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's out in the field or at your own home. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prepare your rented equipment, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't an option, speak to one of our Orange Aprons for the best way to get your large equipment.
What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?
Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the equipment. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
