          I went in through the garden center it wasn't busy asked the cashier for a location of a product she told me I went right to it and brought it back to that same cashier paid and was on my way there are still intelligent young people available good job Thanks Home Depot

            Delta shower head and faucet
            I’m so frustrated to have spent over $200 and get a used and broken shower head. I’m paying a plumber to install this and I have to drive to the store to get a shower head and set screw! How do you put used broken product back on the shelf?

              Self-Serve Big Box
              Do NOT go here expecting to see a human being working a checkout lane ... but if you like self-serve big box stores with little to no customer service go to Home Depot. However, if you instead value actual customer service, then do yourself a favor and find the closest Ace or Elliott's Hardware!

                Very knowledgeable and helpful manager in Appliance Department
                I needed to add a connection hose for the refrigerator I had purchased a few days previously. I didn't want to have to return to the store to arrange this since the hose was needed by the delivery and installation team on the following Thursday. Once I was in contact with the Appliance Department manager this was a smooth process that was arranged via phone. Problem solved! Thanks so much.

                  A new attitude makes all the difference!
                  Its good to feel the new energy at the store. The location is well stocked. Everyone there openly greets you and offers help. I frequent this store so often that I usually don’t need help but it good to know it’s there.

                    Try calling. They won’t pick up the phone despite having 500 employees that twiddle their thumbs and stand around doing nothinf.

                      Poor customer service
                      I recently purchased a new washing machine from Home Depot with installation included. However, I was not informed at the time of purchase that if the existing dryer (in a stackable configuration) was still functional, the installation team would refuse to install the new washer. This has caused a great deal of inconvenience. Clearer communication from staff at the point of sale would have prevented this situation, especially since installation was a key factor in my purchase decision. I have since spent hours on the phone seeking clarification, but the responses I’ve received have been inconsistent and frustrating. I hope Home Depot will consider improving communication and training around installation policies to ensure a smoother experience for future customers. I won't be one of those customers.

                            This store is horrible for customer service!
                            If you go to this store after 12:00, DO NOT Expect anyone to help you. The few times that I’ve been there when the store manager or district manager is there, then everybody bends over backwards to help the customer. They have so many young kids that have no idea what they’re doing and do not care if they don’t know what they’re doing. Actually, there are some adults there they don’t give a crap either. The only reason I go to the store is convenience. My preferred store, which is not close to me, Is the Carrollton Texas store. One of the best stores that I have ever been in.

                                Great Experience great employees!
                                I went in regarding a fence project I was going to start then went another time for some items my contractor needed. Both times I spoke to managers and they were super helpful. I felt bad using them as personal shoppers just going line by line on my list and them leading me to the item. However, always a good experience at this home depot!

                                  Apparently according to Allison at the irving location Home Depot doesn’t carry disposals in their stores of any type or any kind.
                                  Needless to say this is not a Praising review. The irving location is this way almost every time I shop there. I avoid it, but it is close to where I work. I have a good experience at the Home Depot in Plano and in Carrollton, but this store has the same issue for the last three years every time I need just some basic information like where are your disposals located? I encounter a very young person who doesn’t want to help says they don’t know and stands around playing on their phone. They don’t do anything to find out or look around or get assistance for me this was The case with Allison, who told me she doesn’t know what to dispose all is and then just stood there playing on her phone and didn’t go get anyone to help me or look on her handheld to figure it out, but this is the case when I’ve looked for lightbulbs and grills on other visits with other employees at this location, it’s always the same thing.

                                            Overall Great HD North Irving Texas
                                            I must commend the following employees fore their outstanding customer service, Romona, Paul and the female that works the paint department, I'm not positive of her name, I think its Amy or Anita, (She has reddish hair). These employees are ALWAYS going out of their way to make sure HD customers feel appreciative. The only issue you might come across is the manager of the rental dept....he has a bit of an attitude, kinda rude, feels like he hates life or his job....when you ask him a question he makes you feel like he's doing you a favor in providing you customer service. I actually had other customers tell me good luck with him after they dealt with him. Not sure why they would have someone like this be in charge of an important money making department.

                                              General disarray
                                              I have shopped at this Home Depot location in North Irving for approximately two decades as it’s near my home. I’ve noticed a definite decline in the past five or six years. Things like sprinkler heads and water valve displays are typically very disorganized. In one of my visits to the store I was trying to find a particular water valve. The bins where the valves are have a picture on the front that shows which valve is in each bin, but the actual valves that were in the box seldom matched. I realize this is due to customer taking them out to look at them and not putting them back in the proper bin, but the type of maintenance to re-organize these bins obviously does not happen. To me this is no different than the employees at the Gap that have to re-fold the clothes that people have looked at. Additionally there used to almost always be a handful of employees that were knowledgeable in an area when you had a question about something. I don’t have that confidence anymore as they seem to be hiring people who don’t have any particular expertise. I suspect this is to keep labor cost down as hiring more knowledgeable people cost more. Because of these types of things I find myself driving a little bit further to one of their competitors where I don’t have these same experiences.

                                                  Staff is not knowledgeable about anything, nobody wanted to help because it was two hours to close. Multiple people told me they could not help me before I finally got someone to help. Then I was checked out for the wrong amount. The employee did not put in a coupon correctly and needed a manager to fix it. The manager on shift Mikey was absolutely terrible, snapped at the employee and then at me, shoved his finger in my face and was very disrespectful. This was by far the worst Home Depot interaction I’ve ever had and Mikey does not deserve to be in a management position here or anywhere with the way he was speaking to me and his own employees. Very displeased. Drive the extra few minutes to go do a different location or to a different place all together.

                                                    I realize times are difficult and it’s harder to recruit and retain people. I also want to say that I am big fan of your founder. The people behind your customer service desk need better training and they really need to show more empathy, effort, and willingness to solve problems. In a remodel you buy 1$000s from stores like HD. Timing on things are important on jobs. I also don’t think it’s fair to call a dryer stand and accessory and providing 2 days return if fair at all. If you’re not allowed to return something back in the first 30 days, it should be visible because it’s out of the norm. There is way too much arguing or being uncaring to customers in today’s customer service. I am not talking about out of control situations, routine ones. The reps should care a little more about trying to help you rather than blow you off or tell you that you are wrong. Especially if it’s a fair point.

                                                            No help...
                                                            I need help to load a water heater i purchased. Pro desk paged multiple times. Waited 20 minutes and finally had to have good samaritan customer help me load. Same thing happened when i returned my old water heater - i finally gave up and unloaded it myself. Disappointing!
