This is the best store.
I work with David at the Pro Desk primarily. He is knowledgeable and efficient in getting me and my employees checked out of the store and back to work. Good job. I always appreciate his help.

Good help is most often very hard to find!
Associates of some departments still very difficult to find at times! Got a little better for awhile, but now appears to be going down hill again! This wastes our time! Incorrect items ordered on line by an associate after non-availability in store!

A Super helpful Associate
Jeffery in the Garden, Bar-B-Q area was super helpful in trying to find what I was looking for.
He also went above and beyond to help me find a part for a table. He had to bring a rolling ladder from the other side of the store to get up high to get me the part I needed.

Found it myself
I have shopped at Home Depot for several years. It is my go-to store for home improvement projects and I have bought many items ranging from a screw to a lawn mower and everything in between. There was a time when I was remodeling my kitchen a few years back. I visited Home Depot so often that the sales associates knew me by name!
I came in the other day looking for a shower replacement handle with temperature control. As I was searching the section, a nice sales associate came over and tried to help me locate the item I was looking for. He was unable to locate it and informed me that it probably had to be special ordered. I thanked him and he went on his way to assist someone else. I was really disappointed that this item wasn't available and had to be special ordered. Which to me means it is going to cost a lot more money than I anticipated. Just out of curiosity, I looked again....and guess what? There it was and it was under $15!!!
I walked up to the check out with my find and decided to use the self checkout.
Even though this experience wasn't awful, it reminded me that sometimes you have to do things by yourself. Hence the home improvement DIY.
Carry on Garth!

Always have fun shopping at Home Depot!
The store isles were clear. I was very happy with the help and information given by the store associate in the building department. She answered all my questions and walked me over to a service desk with computer and searched with me for the item I was interested in purchasing. She was very experienced and knowledgeable about products.5529

The best in customer service
I would recommend this store over all others. I could shop your store that is much closer and is and excellent store, but the customer service at this location, is just that much better. The associates are always extremely helpful and friendly. I have never had a bad experience when I come to this location. I just want to say that customer associates Rhonda and Rey gave me excellent service and directed me straight to what I was looking for and as always informed about the product,, finally the right price. These 2 associates are the reason that I always make the Home Depot my choice for buying products,

Great Service with Existing Products, But Could You get Corporate to Carry Some Different Rain Barrels?
T. S. at the Customer Service desk was a big help today. He helped me add another $1,000 worth of products to an existing order that was to be delivered in the future (once a pallet of ceramic tiles could be transferred from the north Oceanside store to the one on Vista Way), without me having to bring any of the items to the desk. He just looked things up and added them to the delivery list, showing me the screen to be sure that they were the correct items. He also made my mother very happy by making sure she got a 10 percent military discount. And he was fun to talk to, too. The Home Depot did a good job hiring someone like him, who's got a trade background (cabinetry) but is good with retail customers!
AND NOW A NEW COMMENT! I WANTED to buy rain barrels from the Home Depot, but its selection is like other retailers - its rain barrels only hold about 50 gallons; one decent rain fills them to overflowing, so I bought 150 gallon rain barrels from a specialty store. I bet the Home Depot could sell this size in its southwest stores.

Store was well stocked and clean. Staff was busy but didn't have to wait long to get help. Andy in the garden section was awesome at helping me and my husband purchase the perfect item we were looking for to add to our yard!

Is it a generational thing?
Hate to be a generational bigot, but the younger associates just don't seem to "get" the customer service aspect of their jobs. I understand that maturity helps, but I now find myself seeking out the older associates as they're not only more WILLING to assist me, but they also know more about the products (and product placement) Home Depot sells than the younger associates. AND, the older associates don't appear to be "hanging out" chit-chatting with each other as much as the younger crowd does. At my last visit, I interrupted to ask one of the "group" where an item might be located and the other associates made me feel as though I was bothering them. This kind of treatment of a customer in a service-oriented facility is ridiculous, and I hope the management reads these reviews. It's bad enough prices are rising for everyone, but to get a customer service slap in the face is adding salt to the consumer's wounds.

Outstanding Assistance in the Garden Department
I always have a good experience in this particular Home Depot Store. Today was especially great. I was alone and had to purchase 9 bags of mulch and 2 large bags of soil. While standing with my oversized garden cart deciding which to buy and wondering how the heck I was going to get the strength to put the bags on the cart, Marquit (who was obviously working on a project) came over to me to ask if I needed assistance. He was so pleasant while he told me what he was going to do. He took me to the check out with a bag of each for the cashier to charge. Then he directed me on a good place to park for easy loading..and then he cheerfully loaded up my car..11 large, heavy bags. He was wonderful.
Nice job Home Depot, Vista Way. Your associates are always so helpful and pleasant. Means a lot!

Great customer service
Daphania was very helpful and her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied, is more than I expected. When I had a question that she couldn't answer, she was eager to find the answer and get back to me. She was the "model" employee.

This store has vastly improved
This store used to be very difficult to get help when needed and associates were less than helpful. Over the past couple of years this store has turned around and now is my favorite Home Depot store to visit.

Thing that bug me
Some items are stocked in different places. I know the vendor has input for their shelf space. But some of the items that on the floor or shelves are broken or missing parts. I wish people would not do this. Sometime on restock or during the first shift they would check their area and place them away from the rest of the items or designate some one just to check time to time. Return items to vendor. Also check to see if the items are not thrown back in different boxes. I know this is more work for the few. The idea of taking an item for one type and then finding it not what labeled on the box or price tag is frustrating at times. Especially if that was the last in the area. I would waste my time to get help. Just an out of stock note on the box or hanger would help. If it is truly out of stock.
