This location is staffed with rude employees. Nobody will help you find anything IF you're lucky enough to even see an employee.

This is a very good store and I am very satisfied. Always very helpful and polite personel.

After moving to Portsmouth, VA two years ago from upstate New York, the first place I looked for was a Home Depot. The location was reasonably close--much closer than an alternative store. Since then, I have used Home Depot for a number of home improvement projects in addition to the Nursery for plants and gardening supplies. Even ordered a snow blower on line for delivery to the house. The staff has always been cooperative, helpful and friendly.

My go-to store for home improvement needs, although there are at least 4 home improvement stores in the area I could choose from!

Old school style "world class customer service" is in practice at this store. Loved the prompt greeting upon entering the store and was greeted by each store employee that I passed. I was asked what I was searching for today to which an employee brought me directly to the aisle and exact location for the item I needed. BZ!! Made my trip short, sweet, and memorable.

Very clean & peaceful store

The store was clean and windows were easy to find. Our store associate was polite and very helphfful. He even helped us load our windows and transport them to the front for pickup.

The knowledgeable staff is what makes this store a bit better. They were very busy today but I still got help. Saving the last star for when they have a free daycare for the kids while I shop ;)

Everything I was looking for. Almost to many choices (toilet flappers) to decide from, so I just went with the cheapest and it worked this time. Returned a broken item and that was easy, even got an upgrade because it was the same price. Products were good quality and reasonable price. Staff was helpful though I was going to buy more shelf units but they only had two on the floor and getting more down from a pallet that day. I grabbed the two and probably be back tomarrow anyway.

I am a frequent visitor to the Home Depot at Chesapeake Square. The employees are extremely helpful, pleasant and don't mind walking with me to the location of whatever it is I need. I also like the fact that this company hires visually impaired but highly functional individuals who are smart and know everything about the store and the products. I will always come to this location.
