I had exceptional help from Miles Barnes in a toilet purchase and paperwork for setting up an in-home installation. I have always had good service from this store. Everyone is friendly. If I have a question about something I am looking for in the store, I an ask anyone and they will ensure that I am taken care of. This kind of service is valuable. This is a big box store, and one needs help to find the where an item is located rather than wander around aimlessly. The store was orderly and clean,. lee

First, you had the product in stock. Secondly, since I live an hour away (past Manassas- I live closer to about 3-4 other HDs but they were out of stock) I called first. Azar answered at Customer Service, and after confirming he had the 3 pairs as required, he called me back to tell me. I casually stopped by the front desk to tell him thank you for his help, and he send Gerty with me to retrieve the shutters I was seeking. At the self check out, two (2) employees lent a hand to help me checkout

Worst customer experience ever. I wanted to buy metallic wire channel and I wanted cut in a half to fit in my car. In the past I car to length wood pieces and wires. I asked multiple employees, including store manager and they told me that they can't help me, but they suggested that o can buy an hacksaw and o can do it myself. I think they were happy to see me doing work inside the store. Looks like Home Depot hire just salesman, but not professionals who can help customers.

Aisles were cluttered. Checkout took a very long time. All the self serve were in use and only 1 contractor register open. Lots of employees walking around but no one seemed to care about the long line.

The staff at this Home Depot is very friendly and helpful. We recently consulted with the staff on a home improvement project. The staff was patient and worked with us to find the solutions that made the most sense for our project. I highly recommend this Home Depot in Reston, VA.

Well stocked store with helpful, cheerful employees.

This store has vastly improved its service over the years. It is a pleasure to see the beautiful seasonal gardening displays on the way in; the mums in a myriad of colours are just beautiful right now and the spring plantings are always great. I love the way your associates escort you to where you can find what you are looking for. In the past few weeks, I have purchased new, high quality brooms, a fluorescent light fixture for over my kitchen sink, and a new faucet for my currently leaky one. For all of these items your associate walked with me to where I found what I needed. Home Depot is the only place where I can still find plant lights. Hoorah for that, too.

Parking is an issue here. But overall shopping experience is pretty good. At times aisle can be cluttered.

All the employees I talk to in the store are very knowledgeable in their specialty- and if they are presented with a question they cannot answer they get the answer quickly! Great shopping experience!

Employees are often knowledgeable and are willing to walk all over the store with you to make sure you have everything needed to complete a project.

I have been to many good Home Depot Stores across America and there are some challenges at a few stores. I found today Sunday August 6th one of those challenging days. I only had one item to exchange, a propane tank for my grill. I started with leaving my empty tank outside at the exchange cage like I normally do....not my first time at exchanging an empty tank. I proceeded to ask the outdoor workers where do I go to see about the tank exchange and was directed to the cashier, who I found said to go to the customer service desk. Mind you in all of these attempts to get help there are long lines to wait in to ask a question. I was directed back to a cashiers since the cash terminal at the service desk was not working. I waited and paid the $19.95 (exchange fee) and was told to go outside and find a worker to assist with the exchange. I approached three workers after waiting at each since they were assisting other customers. Only to find out at the third outside help that the helper and key for the propane cage is kept at the garden center and to go to the cashier there for assistance. So by now the garden cashiers line was long and I waited and finally got the cashier there to assist once her line was clear which included two more customers behind me before she got the keys and finally exchanged the empty tank. 1.45 hours later I am finally out the door. Not sure if this is the right store for me to go back to for future endeavors. I like Home Depot but not the incompetentcy of the service personnel who attempted to assist me. Unhappy customer.

Well maintained, good stock, geat help

The store usually has what I need. It is clean and pretty well organised given that it is one of the smaller Home Depot stores in our area. The amount of stock available makes it unnecessary for me to drive further away from home. Sales staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products I have needed. Home Depot is one of the only stores that still stocks plant lights, something I use for my indoor garden corner. I always know where to find them and all the other lighting products I need and Harry is always my "electrical angel."

Great store!

The people at the store are very nice, but the management is lacking as they don't carry even one sample of some of their signature flooring products exclusive to Home Depot. In addition, their installation folks are not knowledgeable about their products and as a consumer, I have more insight into the installation of their flooring materials that I asked them to install for me. The communication between the people who go out to the home and actually perform the quotes is lacking dramatically. If you are looking for flooring options, I suggest skipping their install services as it is a lesson in futility. I am truly unsure how incompetence can reign in this type of an environment when competition s so fierce and there are so many reputable contractors out there. The employees in flooring department notable Anddy N. is awesome, but the estimators in Texas and communication with measuring group has a lot to be desired.....

Overall the store is average. Most employees are helpful. You have long time employees such as Joel Davis which is a treasure to the store. He is always great to see and has a big smile on his face for everyone. Some of the longer-term employees in plumbing are grumpy and comes across as not very approachable. Adding new employees to that department like Akram Abdelwahed is much needed. If HD offers a service such as cutting pipes and wires, then the employees should not come across as if it is an inconvenience.

Store needs more staff on the floor; staff always polite and helpful once you find one

I often drive further to Lowe's because the shopping experience at Home Depot stores is so frustrating and unpleasant. I would like to help you improve your customer service by being a secret shopper or taking surveys at the door. This method of feedback is cumbersome and you are missing valuable information to help you improve.
