Did you know?

Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, and CFLs for recycling.

Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.

Since 2010, we have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores.

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Do you offer Halloween string lights?

Yes, we carry a variety of Halloween lights for indoor and outdoor use. Choose from solar, battery-operated, or plug-in Halloween lights. We also carry light-up Halloween props, including spooky Halloween trees.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When considering different generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

What home repairs should I make before it gets cold?

Make sure your home is ready for colder weather by replacing or repairing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be looking at trouble. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roofing shingles or metal roofing panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams. Lastly, change out vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.

How can I make more space for the holidays?

As you prepare for the holidays, give yourself extra space in the house and stow away the rest. Shield fragile items with moving blankets. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Take summer belongings out of the equation with shoe racks and other storage bins. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you the space you've been waiting for.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?

Gift cards to The Home Depot are an excellent present for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. You can purchase them at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can check your gift card balance online or visit the Rhinelander Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Redeem our gift cards in-store or use them to shop online with no additional fees.
