I enjoy shopping at Home Depot, but unfortunately at every Home Depot it’s a different experience some positive some negative I wish there were more alike in a positive way other than that Home Depot is one of the best players around

Yes, Robert Kearns in the appliance Department went above and beyond to Help us, he was so polite and professional! I plan to make future purchases through Robert. He made the entire process seamless! I would recommend him to anyone look for new appliances at the San Carlos store!

Don’t go if you want wood cut. Waited over 20 minutes after asking multiple times for assistance only to be told by a worker the saw/cutting machine has been broken for months.

Store was fine and Kohler makes good product but I got a lemon. Paid plumber to install and toilet wouldn't stop running. Plumber suggested returning it, but toilet was already installed. We had to pay the plumber for new parts and time to get the brand new toilet to work. Said it was the floater.

11/10 experience. I came to Home Depot to have keys made. The employee who assisted me was quick to help, patient, knowledgeable, and personable. He used to work for a lock company and is clearly passionate about his work. He answered all of my questions about how locks and keys work, plus shared his recommendations and common issues to avoid. I was in and out in a number of minutes and every employee I encountered was efficient and friendly. Keys were reasonably priced and work perfectly. My favorite Home Depot location!

I was helped by young man in doors and windows even though I was buying a kitchen faucet. He did great job and arranged for installation all at once. Had installed yesterday by a great young man, Diego. Very happy.

I went to the paint counter to get some help to pull a new box off your top shelves. The guy that came over was more interested in eating his donut than helping me. When I showed him that the 18 in stock message, he did a quick scan and shrugged his shoulders and said that it must be a mistake. He could not be bothered... Sad day for HD. I've been shopping at this HD for more than 30 years. This was one of the worst interactions with a HD staffer. Sigh...

Not the place to go if you want decent inventory or customer service.

Horrible, insipid R&B music is piped loudly throughout the store. Bring your ear plugs or headphones to try to drown it out.

It took over one month to have custom doors that were incorrectly made picked up from my home. Two delivery staff arrived. One was very kind, and the other was a supervisor who refused to move the doors down two flights of stairs. So, being an able bodied person, I agreed to help the delivery staff...but what if I was disabled or elderly? There was no way one person could have done that job by themselves. I am highly unlikely to make a similar order through HomeDepot again.

I have been visiting this store almost everyday for the last two weeks for my project. Employees in lumber, paint, tools, and other departments are very helpful. Even though I overbought many items, the return staff was very helpful to get all the items returned.

Service is not the primary focus of this store. And it is the only one nearby. The stocking is irregular. Not all employees appear to be trained equally. Most are not

Home Depot website absolutely sucks. It takes me hours just to place an simple order. Lots of times the website gets looked up between shopping cart and the product surch. 🙈

I mostly enjoy this store, however, it isn't always easy to find things.

Store has to many things blocking aisles making most trips more like an obstacle course than a shopping trip

Always a lot of orange vests roaming around, but no one offers help.

Would get more if needed

There are no people to help you at the store and even if you find a person, they don’t work in that department and they can’t help you either. You’re on your own.

I am a 70 year old woman and needed to get 10 large bags of mulch. The staff was very willing to get the product and load it into my car. It was done all in a matter of 10 minutes!

The plants cone to season.

If Home Depot wants to make these infuriating changes, could they at least hire enough employees to be available to quickly respond with keys in hand to unlock all their product.

Unfortunately few bad attitudes cause customers to go somewhere else

I had questions about a microwave and no one could answer it.

I am always surprised how tired the San Carlos store seems to be even thought it is in a affluent city.

Needed help in the door department in San Carlos, had a not so pleasant experience in San Mateo - we couldn't agree on terminology and he finally told he didn't have what I wanted, so I left to go to San Carlos. Glad I did. Unfortunately I can't recall the man's name, but he longish hair and a trimmed mustache and beard and told me me was or is in the auto body trade. Tried to locate an in-stock item, no luck. Took me to customer service and we ordered for delivery thr next day. This guy helped HD keep me as a customer.

Thank you Home Depot San Carlos for hiring Satma for customer service. Satma encompasses everything I would want as an employer in serving all the customers. She is eager to assist, knows the products and their locations, personal,efficient and friendly and much more. She remembers what we are working on in our long term project and asks questions without any of her assistance to others being effected. We always look for her when we visit Home Depot,..which is quite often!!

I shop several Home Depot’s in my work,and the Pro department is the best as compared with the other stores! I also love using the app before going to the store, it makes the shopping go smoothly. If there are any problems there is always someone in the Pro department that can find a solution! Thanks

HD has probably every kind of product in their stores AND the staff here is good at directions for finding things And help solve 'how to' issues with products . I really like this store !

The last time I use self pick up, it took quite a while for them to come to my car and was kind of dissatisfied, but usually it’s been quite quick

They have eliminated all checkstands and gone to self-check only (except for contractor entrance). I guess all these rising prices are not to pay the employees since they now need less of them.
