Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Which real Christmas tree should I pick?

Start with vibrant green trees that appear healthy. A quality real Christmas tree shouldn't shed all of its needles when you shake it, and the needles shouldn't look dry, brown, or patchy. Also, check that your tree is free of disease and insects by examining holes or knots in the wood. For trees with strong branches, stick with a Fraser or noble fir, or Scotch pine tree. For allergy sufferers, the Nordmann Christmas tree is a good option. However, if you're allergic to pine, try a fir tree like a Canaan, Balsam, Grand, or Abies. Need more help making a decision? Read more in our guide to choosing the best real Christmas tree for your home.

Does The Home Depot have a power tool sale?

Visit our Sandpoint store from 10/27–2/1 for the best tool deals. In our power tool sale, you'll find savings on saws, hand tools, drills, and even power tool batteries. We have everything you need for the holiday season. Complete your current project and move on to the next one with bargains you'll only find during our tool savings event.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity after the elements take it out. When exploring different generators for sale, remember that inverter generators cost more than portable generators, but they're also quieter and cleaner. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Do you carry wireless or wired doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. Stop peeking through an adjacent window when you can view human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
