Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
Our stores sent approximately 5.3M pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This helped the planet by preserving over 63.5K trees. It kept over 16K trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saved over 50M gallons of water, and conserved 7.8M kilowatt hours of electricity.
LED lights in your local store saved on energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like solar and wind.

Do you carry Halloween animatronics?
Yes, we carry many options of Halloween decor that move and make noise. Our Halloween animatronics bring scary characters to life. Bring the scare level of a haunted house to your own home. This includes current favorites like Skelly and Dean the Deathologist, a dapper bartender. For more drama, use a fog machine or two to hide the animatronics until they start to speak.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
How can I prepare my home for the winter?
Make sure your home is ready for winter weather by replacing or repairing broken parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be headed for trouble. Check cinder block and brickwork for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage and missing pieces. On the outside of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water leak in. Gutters should be clear and functional to prevent ice dams. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped if they're in poor condition.
What storage solutions do you offer?
As you prepare for the holidays, give yourself extra space in the house and stow away the rest. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Moving blankets shield fragile items as they're packed together. Shoe racks and other storage bins remove summer belongings from the equation. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty of it.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?
Home Depot gift cards are a popular present for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. They can be purchased at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can visit the Sandpoint Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Redeem our gift cards in-store or use them to shop online with no additional fees.
