Checking out is always slow
Self check out is always preferable. However, if you have large items, it is easier with a scan gun that can scan your items without taking them out of the cart. The cashiers have those. I had two gift cards. One with a low remaining balance and another with a large balance. I first went to the self check out. I discovered that I could not complete the transaction. The associate in the self check out area was of no help. I left and went to a cashier. After waiting to check out, the cashier did not know how to put use a gift card with a balance which was less than my transaction. She kept trying and failing. Finally, she asked another cashier who knew how to do it, and I waited for her to take it over. It was finally done.

          No store associate; no cashiers; 3 of 4 self service check-out stations out of order.
          I went to the store to buy cord to replace the pull down cord on my attic stairs. I was not able to get help from a store associate. I wanted to buy nylon cord which is sold by the foot. I ended up purchasing a package of clothes line which I will cut myself. A sales associate was not to be found on aisle 12, however there was a salesman trying to sell me a heating and air conditioning system. Thus was quite frustrating as he was not able to help me with the item I was trying to purchase and I thought I would be able to do my shopping quickly. On check-out, there were no cashiers, so I went to the self- checkout area. 3 of the 4 were out of order. There was not a cashier in this area as normal. There were many customers who, like me, were surprised there was no one to take our money. Overall, the store appears need more sales associates and managers.

            Excellent store experience in the lawn and garden department!
            Pedro, the Sandy Springs lawn and garden store associate made this shopping trip an excellent experience with his friendliness, knowledge of products and work ethic. He located the products, made a suggestion that saved me money and physical effort, loaded 9 heavy bags on the dolly, walked me thru the most convenient cashier available and then off loaded the dolly into the trunk of my car. It made shopping a pleasure at Home Depot. I hope Home Depot recognizes this excellent employee for his efforts.

                I was in the Home Depot to purchase flowers and vegetables for my patio garden. I was offered assistance by an associate but everything was laid out well. The products I wanted were available and healthy looking. I had a great shopping experience.

                Great Customer Service
                I want to compliment your Garden Center Manager, Ken, who so graciously helped me this morning. He had also helped me one day during the week and I was very impressed with him. Ken showed me different types of azaleas and explained things like which ones need more sunlight, how deep to plant them, etc. This morning when I bought several azaleas Ken put them in my car for me -- they were the 3 gallon size and "quite heavy". Please know that your store is very fortunate to have Ken on your staff. Its not often you find great employees like him. Ken is the perfect example of fantastic customer service. Please extend my appreciation to him for his expertise, knowledge and kindness.!

                  Service is the key!
                  Over the past 7 weeks we have had experience with 3 different depts. at the Sandy Springs store. In late February we needed to order wooden blinds & first we were helped by Barbara in making best choice for the room & secondly we were helped to place order a few days later after installer had come to our home & measured the windows. We wanted to get the order in asap so blinds could be installed before house guests arrived so on a wintry February evening, stopped in to pay for the blinds. It was a nasty night when we were all preparing for a snow storm & staffing at the store was diminished. You can imagine our surprise when an assistant store manager came to help us place & pay for the blinds. (His name: Rodney McLaughlin) Now that is service! In March we decided to replace the 2 light fixtures on either side of the front door. That display is on a side wall & while I was looking at the many lights, there was no associate near by. However a young woman walking several aisles away looked over & asked if she could help me. Found out that she works in the garden shop but she stayed with me until she was able to get a lighting dept associate to help me. Again, I was very impressed with the customer service spirit of the staff. The 3rd dept we had experience with was the Garden Dept. This past week, I needed multiple bags of pine bark mulch & was given (with out having to ask) assistance by an associate named Pedro who loaded the car so well I was able to buy 14 instead of the usual 12 bags. (I returned today & purchased more bags.) I know none of my purchases was big; I did not purchase new flooring or kitchen appliances. However, I feel that if Home Depot gives this kind of excellent service for small purchases, I believe they will do so when I need to buy something more substantial/expensive.

                    my wife and I were looking for 2 items in the plumbing department and without the aid of 2 new associates, using the store app we would have given up. at check out the cashier, alxexis was warm, concerned and informative - she also made sure that the help we needed to put our purchases from the lumber area were secured by a very helpful gentleman thank you

                    Hard to find any associates with much product knowledge.
                    I tried to find an associate who could help me with questions about Weed and Feed products. One associate told me to see another associate who was more knowledgeable. I could not find the other associate. Most of the time, associates are not very knowledgeable about the products or even helpful in what to use for a project.

                    In todays marketplace with all of the information available on the internet, homeowners have no excuse to naively enter any commercial establishment with intent to purchase a product or service without prior knowledge beforehand. This knowledge clarifies your specific needs more clearly, and minimizes the time one has to spend with the salesperson attempting to discover what it is that you actually need !!........i.e., Do your homework! Darla is the best............as mentioned before..........thanks..........
