I have a lot of projects to tackle at my new home and although my father had a workbench with a bunch of tools, he never really worked on any projects and consequently I did not learn valuable skills like how to use a power drill, how to choose the right fasteners, how to hang a heavy mirror on the wall, etc. Fortunately, I have been able to ask the staff at the Sarasota Home Depot for advice and they have been very knowledgeable and have given me the confidence to return home and successfully complete those projects. I also like how the HomeDepot.com website knows the inventory on the shelves at my local Sarasota location so I make an informed decision whether to take a drive or if I must order the item(s). One additional benefit is that when I saw a large, heavy steel shelving unit in the store that I could not transport home, I was able to order the item from the website, and the website linked to a local delivery service that operated out of my local store and I got the item the next day for a nominal $35 delivery charge.

Found what I was looking for. I was delivered this morning, I'm so Happy!!

I was looking to replace a gas grill. Went to service desk and met George. He took excellent care of me, took time to see what I needed and found the grill that was best for me. Had it delivered the next day. A great representative for Home Depot.

This HomeDepot is close to my house and so glad because they are always willing to help you find what you need.

Purchase both an icemaker and washer. Adament that both be installed and old units hauled away. No problem. Turns out that only the washer would be installed. I'm 88 and will have to pay for and outsource installation of icemaker and disposal of previous unit.

I have lived near this Home Depot for over 25 years. I do not recall having a bad experience. There is typically enough staff to help answer questions and to find items. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable. I am in the store at least once a month, if not more, taking care of three properties. I much prefer Home Depot to its competitor.

Juan in the electrical department IS AMAZING!!! He was so helpful.

I came to this store late on Sunday. The guys in the lumber department went above and beyond, directing me and accommodating my requests despite being busy. This was a nice and noticeable difference from my experience at a major competitor the prior day. I will be heading to this store first for my next project, despite the competitor being closer to my house.

If you know what you want to purchase, the order online with locker pick-up is a very efficient process.

I should never go alone to the home depot! I would buy all the plants in the center.

Tried to rent some tools with my Home Depot card and drivers license - but could NOT because I don't own a cell phone - not the only disappointed customer - another gentleman was also unable to rent for the same reason - not EVERYBODY in the world has a cell phone . I have previously rented at my northern store - Very disappointed - had to drive back home and get a friend who had a cell phone and take them to the store with me - was told they had to send a code to it - they never did send a code - what a wasted trip .

When I got to check out, they didn't bother to take the $50 off my purchase because this was a new account. The girl checking me out looked as if she didn't know what I was talking about. My husband asked if they took it off. I said no. He went to customer service and explained and they said I had to come to customer service because the card is in my name. My husband had the receipt with him at the time. It took over 40 minutes to accomplish the refund. The people in customer service move at a snails pace.

When you have a customer inside the store, you take care of them first before you stay on the phone for 12 minutes and having the in-store customer end up walking away

It doesn't matter that you pay for an item if you don't take it with you right then they will "re-sell" it. All paperwork stated that items would be picked up by contractor on a date (next day) and time but when he arrived they had sold our paid items to someone else!

Absolutely no one to check you out! I recently had surgery and the fact I had to the work I should have been assisted with is beyond crazy! Employers standing there watching me check out while I struggled. Horrible!!!

Can’t get around, can’t find carts to move large products, prices are outrageous messes everywhere. Making a ton of money, outrageous prices.

Dear Home Depot People: I own a home in Bradenton Florida but I have not been to it in several years! So, I am wondering who is shopping at the Sarasota store who is using my name!!! Can You answer this question for me?

Needed help with an item list at one price but rang up $50 more, employee would not give me the item for the listed price. she just said “oops must be a reset”

Wrong parts ordered by the "specialist", my washer and dryer couldn't be hooked up so are sitting in the middle of my room. I had to shop elsewhere to get the right stacking kit. Now, the best they can/will do is have me wait another 9 days for them to come back to hook it all up. Completely inconvenient and a horrible experience.

If you are getting cabinets at HD, Eric was patient and helpful.

3 projects a d 3 issues. In each case they had to pay me back. 3rd project is in dispute. Only satisfactory project is blinds

My weed Wacker got wacked!! So I brought the whole Wacker in with it's twisted up string and the stuck screw thinking I would have to get another Weed Eater. The Rental Guy unstuck the string and removed the screw; THEN (awesome help) sent me to the Customer service and THEY got me another HELPFUL Employee to not just point out the Store Area to find String BUT found the CORRECT Size for my Weed Eater String Model AND (checked with his Home Depot Hand,,-held electronic devise the SPECIFICs item and then installed it TOO WOW ( I wanted to tip him as I was very amazed by his Professional Knowledge and never treated me like 'dumb old lady's he popped that equipment together much easier than I had tried with frail hands. BUT the Store Policy says NO TIPPING which I have come to understand as their Employees are ALL knowledgeable and helpful in every department. Kuxos

Bought industrial fans and 20 bins at Cattleman store and dehumidifier at Bradenton store. I already had 2 off the fans from months prior and they are great. The bins are the best I have ever owned and incredibly stackable. The dehumidifier is running nonstop and pulling none stop water out of my home.

We purchased a refrigerator from Brian Kass and received excellent service. Quick, pleasant and knowledgeable.

Well stocked, clean and safe environment.

I ordered it online then canceled saying they did not have the product. I went to the store and they had 2but didn't want to have to take it off the higher shelves

Went in to purchase miter saw and gentleman was real helpful in locating products.
