I was assisted by one of your associates who had both a professional approach and knowledge as well as a positive and friendly attitude. These days it's almost imposssible to find these attitudes in a retail store.

Of all the hardware stores I shop at in Anchorage this is the best for me. It's all about the positive and friendly people who always do their best to help me, whatever the need may be.

    Helpful Bob
    Bob who was busy stocking had no problem breaking away to help me find a part in plumbing. Bob was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I shop this Home Depot fairly regularly and will seek out Bob in the future if I am unable to find an item in plumbing or anywhere else in the store. I will add Bob to my list of the employees I have confidence in asking for help.

    Excellent customer service
    Ray Utter and Jeannie Bacigalupojaouhar gave us exceptional service 9/5/15. We wanted Christmas lights to put up while it was still warm outdoors, They went into the store room and found just what we wanted, (Christmas decor was not on the floor yet) They were so cheerful and wanted us to have just what we liked. Thank you for having associates like them available.

    Great cashier service
    The cashier Jenny (JKI0335) went above & beyond for me the other day. I really appreciated her extra help that I know she didn't have to do. It really made a huge difference & I hope she received kudos since the survey I took, specifically to credit her, did not ask who she was. Home Depot should correct this for the survey process since that was the ONLY reason I took it.

    Great Customer Service by Associate in Appliances!
    An associate in Appliances did a great job getting the special order Washer and Dryer completed for me. I knew that it was highly unlikely that this particular set would be in the store and he made the order process seamless. The ONLY recommendation that I would have is that new computers/software be installed for these associates to use...as what they have to use are quite old and slow. No fault of the associate...but it would likely make their and the customer's experience even better than the "Excellent" one that I experienced.

    We love the Home Depot store on Abbott. They're our go-to store for all our home projects. Their store associates are courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. We can't say enough about Paul in flooring who helped us to realize our dream when it comes to our remodeling projects. He is very knowledgeable and helpful going above and beyond.

    I use this Home Depot to buy supplies and tools for both personal and business needs
    I find that when I go to Lowe's, I have to wait for 20 minutes to get any help from an associate. I prefer to go to Abbot home Depot because the staff has always been helpful and friendly, and most importantly available to help.

      Typically Great Service BUT not this time....
      I use Home Depot for all my home project needs and typically have great experiences. This visit was a whole other ballgame. For this visit, I needed to purchase a new washing machine. I knew which model I wanted as I had pre-shopped at Home Depot.com and knew that it was available so I made plans to go to my local Home Depot store for the next day. Day #1. When I got to Appliances, there were no associates in site. When I looked at the service desk, I saw 3 associates all huddled around the telephone, apparently on a conference call. I waited a few minutes for the call to end but when it became apparent that the call was not going to end sometime soon, I waved for an associate. The associate came over, I showed here which washer I wanted, she took the tag and told me she was going to check and see if it was in stock. After waiting for about 5 minutes, I looked back to the service desk and saw that the associate I was working with had returned to the conference call with the other 2 associates. She saw me looking at her and motioned that she would be back with me in a minute. In actuality, it took another 10 minutes before she got back to me and it was only after that conference call had ended. I had seriously thought about leaving but knowing that this is typically not the norm for Home Depot, I went ahead and stayed. She rung me up and when I asked about delivery and haul-away, she said no problem and scheduled me for the next day.... Day #2: I am ready for my new washer to be delivered. Since I had told Home Depot anytime of the day would work (since that could guarantee delivery the next day), I was ready at 7am. At 7:54 am, another associate from Home Depot calls me to verify that I was having a washer delivered for that day. I confirmed and we hung up. At 8:14am, the same associate calls me back letting me know that there was no deliveries being made today as the employees at the delivery service were in a training. He apologized and asked if we could re-schedule for the next day. I told him that was fine so we scheduled for the next day... Day #3: The delivery service called at 12:01pm to let me know that they were on their way. 5 minutes later, they had pulled up and while one man was unhooking my old washer, his partner was unloading my new washer. About 10 minutes into the process, the partner came in to speak with the gentleman unhooking my old washer. I could tell by the tone of their voices that something was off. They asked if I had bought a drainage pipe for my new washer; I told them I had not since I had bought a brand new washer and that is part of the package. They looked over their paperwork and then asked me if they could see my receipt. I showed them my receipt and it was then that they told me that the warehouse had loaded a floor model instead of a brand new model. He ended up calling his dispatch to see if an error had been made on their end and they verified that the error was made in the communication between the Home Depot store and the warehouse. The delivery guy apologized for wasting my time and told me to call the store right away to get this straightened out. He said that they would be back the next day. So, I called the store and after waiting on hold for 10 minutes, got an associate from Appliances on the phone. She verified that it should have been a brand new model and was going to call the warehouse to see what had happened. Someone did end up getting back to me, letting me know that the mistake would be corrected and rescheduled delivery for the next day... Day #4: Delivery was made and new washer was hooked up and the old one taken away in 10 minutes. The only positive thing I can say about this experience is that the guys from the delivery service were amazing. They were friendly, professional, and fast. I still gave Home Depot a 4 star rating because this experience is not typical of the service that I usually have however, I believe Home Depot needs to be aware of what I experienced so they can address the issues I experienced with their associates.

      Store clerks ignored me and continued talking, was hard to get assistance when I needed help finding an item. Finally was able to track down a clerk who didn't know the answer but was able to ask someone for help and find the answer for me.

        Recent visit for faucet repair
        I had been trying for a week to fine a MOEN replacement cartridge for our home kitchen faucet online, by phone and by visiting two other stores. When I came in and asked where the cartridges were located in the plumbing aisles Associate Ryan came right up and asked if I needed help. He directed me to the part compared my old part and selected the proper cartridge for me. Right On! Great help and a surprise to find it so close to home.
