What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

I purchased a lawn mower and weed wacker from this store's bush service on July 6th and the product was expected to be picked up and delivered to my selected air carrier by Home Depot's contract delivery service within two days. Today is July 18 and I still have received my order. I have contacted the air services on a number of occasions only to be told they have not received my delivery. I've been living in rural Alaska for nearly 40 years and have never had such an issue with getting a product shipped from Anchorage. To date, I have no idea where my order is or when it will be delivered. I know I should have and a friend pick it up and deliver it to NAC. Life lessons!

Extremely upset with Jerry in the flooring department. I felt belittled with his comments about our personal decisions (we only asked for a quote and in return we felt belittled with his comments about why we're installing our floors when we have never done it before, how the numbers we gave him for our living room and kitchen were off because "it can't be that big" and "these numbers are way off" in his words). The next day I came back to get a tool (without my husband) and I tried to avoid asking him for help but he was the only one available. I'm not sure why he had to repeat himself THREE TIMES (in front of other customers) that "I don't EVEN KNOW why you're using this" just coming off extremely rude and embarassing! By the time we got to the aisle and found the item, he repeated himself a 3rd time and I responded with "I don't know, my husband told me to grab it" and he walked away saying "Uh huh" ... I don't understand what we did to this man to recieve this kind of treatment. I have an idea in mind but it's probably best to not speak on it. After that trip, we decided to use other locations. However I am EXTREMELY disappointed in how we were treated by this man. I only know his name because I vented to the lady at self check out about what happened in both trips, almost in tears. Please have a talk with your employee on proper customer service. I can understand to an extent (maybe he didn't want to do a quote unless we were sure since he said "theres no point in doing a quote if you're not sure") but our decisions are ours and if we want to do our floors ourselves, that is up to us. I just don't understand why we had to be treated this way. Just completely freakin upsetting.
