How do I lessen window draftiness?

If your drafty windows need replacing but you need to make it through the winter first, seal them up tight for best results. Caulk the gaps well, then seal the window using a window insulation kit with plastic film and a heat gun. Add fabric threshold snakes along the bottom for extra warmth. Our free Kids Workshops take place in-store every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Kits include all necessary craft materials, kit instructions, certificate of achievement, stickers, an apron pin, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Paint and all other required tools are provided at the event. Kits may be ordered online at our Kids Projects Activities page or picked up in-store if you prefer to participate in the workshop from home.
