At Home Depot, community involvement is important to us. We support the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, Bardmoor Elementary School and Team Depot. We are also committed to helping our customers get the job done right, with workshops on a wide variety of topics to give you the skills to complete your project.

What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

I went to this store to get some lumber and have it cut. I had to have 2 different employees call for someone to assist me in the lumber section. After approximately 10 minutes of waiting and no employee showing up I informed a cashier that I wanted to see the Manager. A few minutes later an employee hands me a store cellphone, when I asked why he was giving me a cellphone he said it was the Manager. When I got on the phone the person identified himself as Tim the store Manager and asked how he could help me. I told him the situation, how no employee has shown up to help me, then I asked Tim the Manager why he couldn’t come to me and discuss this in person? Tim informed me he was “ IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS LUNCH” and the person assigned to lumber had called in sick. Tim eventually arrived but appeared to be somewhat put out, I guess because I disrupted his lunch. Tim finally helped me with my request and I payed and departed the store. At first I was just going to let this go, maybe Tim was having a bad day, but it is really bothering me that these big chain stores do not put the customer first. Tim the Manager should have never mentioned his lunch, he should have immediately come out to my location or even have another employee come and help me. I am so very disappointed in Home Depot. Is this how they are training the Managers now, that their lunch comes before the customer? Unbelievable. I know nothing will be done with this situation but I had to get it off my chest.

If you have a question on a tool or a project, you can trust the info received. And when someone doesn’t know they’ll get someone who does. Check out was fast. No long wait to like at other stores. This particular Home Depot gets 5+ stars on account of associates like Derek in appliances. Calling into the store I was greeted by Christine who is a very pleasant and knowledgeable. Marc assisted me in loading up the freezer. The associates at this Home Depot remind me of my service with the USMC. Teamwork is key. I would highly recommend this store and I am confident that those who shop there will have a similar experience. In conclusion, I would just like to say that Derek in appliances sets the standard that all employees should strive to achieve!
