We visited the store on a weekend. We had my Jetta and did not anticipate buying a tree, but my wife found one she liked an we got a tree. I wish we got everything into the Volks-truck. Artificial and real trees and Multiple bags

I went to buy a refrigerator and Curtis showed me all the refrigerators and we talked about the specs of each. I told Curtis I would be back. I found a Whirlpool online though homedepot I went back ,Curtis had left for the day. I went back the next day and Curtis ordered it with the warranty and we got it on 12/23 for the holidays.

I was greeted when I entered, while deciding which bolts to use I was asked if I needed help,and while just walking the store killing a little time looking at sale items I was asked if I needed help finding anything once again. I was greeted at the checkout and so was my dog Lugnut and assisted with my purchase in self checkout and thanked for my purchase, and wished Happy Holidays. Just to be politically correct.

So we don't live in South Hill but we do come down there regularly for our rescue dog organizations' meeting point, on Saturdays-a couple times a month. We exchange dogs in the Home Depot parking lot. As such we like to get there early enough to shop for essentials while we're waiting for the dogs to arrive. We've bought all sorts of stuff down there including my trailer. A large purchase and one I am very satisfied with! Our local store is in Mechanicsville which we also are very fond of. Both stores have warm, friendly people who always seem ready to help.

It would be difficult for me to say I ever had more than a few instances in the many years I have shopped at the South Hill HD. The store is clean and well supported by associates. Which is important when you may be in a hurry. Good Job. HD

When I went to get what I wanted the majority of the materials had to be ordered especially the deck railing. Didn’t have matching materials needed and would take days to order.

I had to speak to 3 people before getting to an associate who coul help me with my appliance purchase. The first two knew NOTHING, the third recited a memorized script. None knew anything about the appliances you are selling.

The South Hill VA store has some of the most polite and helpful employees. Such a difference compared to the Indiana stores that I am use to.

I needed a 30 inch piece of pipe, I told the employee what I needed it for ,and after he cut it he told me I had to pay for the whole 10 ft. Piece of pipe. It was priced at $7.10 per foot. The manager was not helpful and was very rude. I will be cancelling my card and never shop there again!.

Been shopping at the store for many years now everyone is friendly. Everyone says hi and I always find what I need. If I don’t have it someone is willing to order it for me at the desk.

I didn't notice any advertising fliers, but i wasn't looking for any. I knew what I wanted, so I didn't need a flier. It would not have mattered if what I wanted was on sale or not. I would have purchased it anyway.

With no cashiers (except the pro desk) and long lines for self-checkout this store is almost impossible to shop without spending a 1/2 hour to checkout. The overflow now are people going to the return desk to check out. Hire and USE human cashiers!!!

Please do not accept the cashier's word in lawn & garden that your items do not qualify for military discount! Ask for customer service and have them resolve the problem. This is a discount that Home Depot is allowing for your military service and NO Cashier should be disallowing!!

Didn't ask for it, was not expecting it , but the store had assistants all over, and if it even looked like I might need help, they were right there. Never had this experience at other big box stores. Very pleasant experience, well managed store. Good HR DEPT.

The service at the pro builder entrance was excellent. Robert, a front end employee, went out of his way to help with my problem. He was able to substitute a similar item to what I needed.

The South Hill store seems to be larger than the stores we visit in Williamsburg, Sevierville, Boca Raton, Stuart and our AZ for repair projects. It has a friendly and helpful staff and inventory on hand the most.

The Ryobi rep was in the store and knew just what I was looking for. The salespeople in the store all offered to help me.

Mary sue was most helpful.

I THINK IT TOOK 14 DAYS TO GET MY ORDER. COULD HAVE WALKED AND HITCHHIKED TO SOUTH CAROLINA AND GOT IT QUICKER IF THAT WAS THE ONLY PLACE TO GET IT,
