THE WOMEN ASSOCIATES WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE PRODUCTS I ASKED FOR AND HELPED ME LOCATE THEM QUICKLY. THE CASHER’S WERE FRIENDLY AND FAST; ALL IN ALL IT WAS AN ENJOYABLE TRIP, THEY EVEN GOT MONEY OUT OF ME?

Purchase hardwood flooring for home. Mike in flooring personally made sure we understood the product, features and all items necessary to complete our project. Gave us tips on installation and made sure we had all the material, tools, accessories, etc. to finish. Christina at customer service desk assisted in completing the order and timing delivery that was best for us. Truly an exceptional experience.

Always has been my favorite store. Associates are friendly and willing to help find something if that may be the case. Decently priced and generally have stuff if stock when I need it.

Walking in to the Home Depot on SE 14th in Des Moines, I had no clue where the item was that I was needing. Literally, within seconds, store associate James appeared and asked if I needed assistance. When I told him what I was looking for, his directions took me exactly to the spot that item was located! He was also very courteous! I was VERY PLEASED to quickly find what I had gone to purchase! So, as the review title says, "You need to clone James"!! He's THE BEST!!!

The store was exceptionally clean. The store employee was very helpful and located the item we were seeking.

The associate that helped us plan what we wanted and cut the black pipe for us was great!

I went in looking for tools and had not only one but two associates right there to assist me. They identified what I was looking for right away. The store was clean and well lit. Checkout was quick and I even had assistance at the self checkout lane. I will definitely shop Home Depot again in the near future.

The store was clean but we had to ask for help and waited about 10 min before someone came to help.

After standing around while the only employee in the kitchen appliance area helped another customer (afternoon on a Sunday, so busy busy) for about 10 minutes she finally called over another employee to assist in our purchase of a microwave. We needed an over the stove model, knowing we'd spend at the very least $200.00. We wanted to have it professionally installed, another $75.00, eh, okay. To take away existing microwave, another $15.00. So far with the cost of the microwave, which was $218.00, we're up to $308.00 before taxes. Oh, wait, another fee because my purchase wasn't $369 yet? So you add an additional $65 delivery fee? Seriously?? So now we're up to over $370.00, of which the appliance was only $218.00. The employee was rude to begin with basically saying you realize we have to order this, right? No, really, I couldn't have possibly thought that to begin with... Then to say "I don't make the rules..." when we ask why the extra charges just because it wasn't a certain prices yet... I couldn't have possibly also thought you did make the rules to begin with, it was just a question, you didn't have to be so incredibly rude, so sorry to be wasting your precious time. He was a jerk, no nice way around it. We had already agree to almost an extra $100 already to get it installed, but now let's add another $65 fee to drive it less than 10 miles. Sorry Home Depot... that's just too much. You're getting to almost double the cost of the appliance at this point. We left and went down the street to Menards and found the EXACT same thing for $196.00, saving us $177.00 over Home Depot. And your employee needs an attitude check.

Only time I haven't had an associate come up and ask me if I needed help was with a ceiling fan. Ended up looking and then coming back a couple of times as I went home to research the ones I thought about.

Mark S. and Deb L. which I've meet after double and triple trips to the store some trips were good some great , Store needs storage for lumber out side so lumber stays its best with less waste,it would help boost sales because maybe u wouldn't run out of product and I have to leave empty handed(have to go to menards to get my product because u ran out again) Mark is the type of guy that could in prove your sales on this south side store ,he knows his inventory,instead assuming he looks to see if product is there before turning away a sale.Deb is the associate u hope to get at check out anywhere(glad they are there)

The check out line was really busy so an associate assisted me through the self-check-out line. She was very helpful and friendly.

I found the guy in the electrical dept very informative and knowledgable . Gave me hints as to age of my house and how to used the electrical boxes required. Paint person was very good too.

I had a special order for a large quantity of flooring and needed to know if it was available and if there would be special pricing. The associate was very helpful and even made some additional calls to confirm my questions. The product arrived on time as promised.

It was Friday evening and I had to run to Home Depot quick as we had workers coming the next morning to paint our home. We needed rollers, brushes, pInt, the works. The rep at the counter had all of our paint mixed and ready to go in about10 minutes. Great service!

This was me (parent) buying a washer for my daughter who lives in Iowa. WE were able to do this and me pay via phone. Made things easy for us in this time of need. I live in Alaska. Thank you Home Depot. I asked my daughter the questions as I did the survey so this IS HER experience in Iowa.

Store was great. Price of the paint we purchased was high.

I was sent to this store when the store in my neighborhood was sold out of the product I was going to purchase. When the new store was also sold out of the product, the associate discount a similar product and saved me from having to drive an additional 20 miles to get the product that was on sale. First class.

Very helpful during my visits to this store. I love the garden center. i ordered carpet from home depot . already installed. very happy with the service.

When purchasing an exterior door, I found that Home Depot was very comparable to other home improvement stores and the associates were very friendly. I was able to use my mobile phone to bring up what I found on Home Depots website and the associate honored the online price. The personal assistance was deeply appreciated. And we are enjoying both storm and front door. The door really creates a wonderful face lift to our home. The store is always clean, that's why I prefer to shop here. Every time I walk in I always have at least 1-2 associates asking if I need help. That is appreciated!

We prefer the SE 14th location over others in the DM Area. The sales associates are extremely helpful and courteous. It seems they also do a better job of approaching those of us who are not great at home repairs and providing assistance when we look as if we need help- thank you.

I always can found help. I like the staff alot always go extra mile.

Although I am familiar with the layout of the store I had a problem finding a trash container with wheels. I did find one in the garden center. Other than that every thing else was great.

The cashiers were eager to help and I was very pleased that they were willing to assist me.

We bought a clothes dryer. We had previously visited Sears and although they had the item we wanted on sale, they did not have the item in stock and couldn't deliver it for 3 weeks. We decided to visit HD and found the item in stock. We asked if HD would match the Sears sale price. HD looked up the Sears sale price and matched it with an okay from a manager. The item was delivered in less that a week. We will definitely consider HD for future large appliance needs.
