Great place to shop for supplies for the home. But sometimes hard to find sales people to help.

I got the help I needed from the plumbing associate who was very knowledgeable, patient and kind.

The associates were so helpful here. They opened up the lawn and garden gates in the back and provided fork lift assistance for 60lb retaining wall blocks we were purchasing.

Was trying to find hoses for a new kitchen sink fixture. The Store Associate approached me while I was looking, asked if he could help and stayed until all of my questions were answered.

So I went to Home Depot to get some wood it was either Birch or Oak and ended up going with Oak. The associate for the department was nice and so was the saw cutter to cut my wood pieces for the pinball cab.

The staff here was very helpful & knowledgeable about the products we were looking at. There was no pressure to buy, but they helped locate what we were looking for, and once we decided what to buy the purchasing process went very smoothly. The delivery arrangements were also made with no trouble.

Several store associates ask if they could help me. Since I knew what I wanted and knew where it was I didn't need any help.

I was in the electrical wire section looking for a particular size of vinyl/rubber covered wire and all I was finding were rolls that were going to cost quite a bit and I only needed 4 foot lengths. The very tall sales associate (Daniel?) saw that I was puzzling over the choices and asked if I needed assistance. I said yes and explained what I needed, we talked about what was available and I made the comment that I really only needed 4 foot lengths and he told me that Home Depot sells the wire by the foot as well. He brought me over to the rack of wire, brought up the two I was looking at, and cut exactly the length I needed of both sizes. He was very helpful, personable and kind. There have been times when I will seriously walk all over the store looking for assistance, it was so nice to not have to do that this time.

Two associates in the tool department were extremely helpful. The first fellow that attempted to help me (difficult name to remember) found that the manufacturer's coupon that I'd received in the mail was out of date. Tom, apparently the department manager, confirmed the coupon as being invalid, so he offered me a discount on the product, partly because I'd purchased a few hundred dollars in tools during December, and partly because the coupon was invalid. Although the discount was less than the coupon's value, it was a discount on a tool that I was going to purchase anyway. Both of these fellows went beyond what they needed to do to help me. This is a consistent experience with the associates at Home Depot, which is why I keep going back. We purchased a fixer-upper home about five years ago and we've spent thousand of dollars purchasing products and tools to get the home livable for our retirement years. Associate help has always been a factor in our satisfaction.

The store is well layed out and all the associates are extremely helpful any time I visit

The Employees are great to be around. They are very helpful and polite. Even our Dog, " Lucy" loves to come see everyone. The products are as good as their rivals, maybe even better. Most of the time they have a great return policy, if needed.

Always the first and last place I go to when I have a project.

One of the things we appreciate is that if we happen to choose the wrong item, they are willing to take it back. So much better policy than having to return the item to the manufacturer.

This is only store in 15 miles from Troutdale. Narrowing down to what I want and what is actually called on sku was hard to do on the website. At the store, I received assistance with lumber cutting. I asked for 12 foot 2x6 to cut to 3 foot length x 4 boards, and 8 ft post to cut to 2 ft length. On average, each board was up to one in off, and post were off as much as 2 inch. I made it do for what it was but it doesnt look neat. Clerk cut the post and board with several board at the same time, and the board were cut in different length. So, some were 35 inches and some were 37 inches. Post were 22 inches and 26 inches. and at least one post section was 24 inches. First 4 boards were 23.5 inches. then after that quality dropped to 22 and 26 inches. I used those materials build a tree box (raised bed around a small fruit tree). Filled it with home depot garden soil. The assistance clerk said something about $0.25 per cut somewhere but I didn't see the cut cost on the receipt when I got home to do this store survey online. I don't know if I have say in on quality of cut service or do I have to accept when boards are off as much as 2 inches from what I asked for. I did say quarter inch off is fine. Each board was $14.27 for 2x6x12' And it says 2 x 6 but when I put it to 2 ft posts cuts 4 boards were like 22 inches total. Board width was not completely 2 x 6. But post length were also not consistent.

I checked on the Home Depot web site, so see if they still carried some rockwall blocks that I had used a few years ago to build a small retaining wall around my front yard roses; wishing to add to the height of the wall. After searching the web site for over 25 minutes, I was unable to find the blocks I was looking for (They had a good selection of many other styles and colors), so I decided to drive to the store, and look for the bricks I needed. Fortunately, they had the same bricks I already had, and I didn't have to change or redesign my wall, but was able to buy just a few bricks, and add to the height of the existing wall. I was primarily disappointed that I was unable to find these bricks on the website, even though the store carries two colors, and a lot of them. It possibly could have been a futile trip, if the store, for sure didn't carry the blocks anymore, and I was pleasantly pleased to find them in stock.

Prices were great, customer service was outstanding.

Associates and cashiers are always nice and very helpful. At times, the store seems to be understaffed however.
