The Home Depot Rental Center at Vicksburg

When it's time to make the leap into a big home improvement project, you might not have everything you need in the garage or shed. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Vicksburg Rental Center for tools, trucks, and large equipment.

Tool Rental
Start your next DIY project with confidence and the right tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Vicksburg Tool Rental Center fill in the gaps in your toolbox with the tools you don't have at home. You can rent the tools you need and bring them back when the job is done. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available for purchase. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.

Leaf Blowers
Try renting a leaf blower to maintain your yard. Fall will be in full swing soon, so have a leaf blower ready to go. It's much easier than raking them into piles. It's also easy to use on concrete sidewalks, hardscaping surfaces, and driveways. You can rent one of our handheld, backpack, or walk-behind leaf blowers.

Air Compressors
When renting pneumatic tools like nail guns, you'll want an air compressor to provide the power. Renting an air compressor means you save room in your garage while getting the best tools for the job. Choose from an electric or gas air compressor in a size that suits your project.

Heaters
If you can't stand working or being outside in the cold, browse our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, barns, or workspaces warm. They're safer than torch patio heaters because portable heaters don't have an open flame, and they also blow the hot air for greater coverage. We carry gas, propane, and electric heaters in various sizes. Pair this with nice outdoor lighting and a jacket, and you can extend work or play well into the evening hours with the extra warmth.

Truck Rental
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks as well ready for rental, with availability varying by store. You're sure to find the right size truck rental for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for storage needs, packing, and DIY projects, it's easy to make us your go-to source for transport and moving as well.

Large Equipment Rentals
Handle expansive projects with the right professional equipment. Our large equipment rentals give you the power you need to finish the job yourself. From the boom and scissor lifts to give you a boost to the mini excavators and mini skid steers for hauling materials, we've got a surprising variety of equipment available. If a large equipment rental could help you, explore and see what we have in stock.

Although we're calling out popular truck, tool, and large equipment rentals, not everything is available at every rental center. If you've got a particular tool in mind, please contact your local rental center to see where you can pick it up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rentals

How do I rent a piece of large equipment, a tool, or a truck?

Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like to know what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool, truck, or large equipment. You can also read our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more info on renting tools or large equipment, check out the Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions.

Can I choose how long to rent a truck?

Rent a truck or cargo van for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Be sure to review the contract and the terms and conditions before you choose a truck.

When can I bring the tools back?

You can return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.

Do saw rentals come with saw blades?

Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you buy your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you may luck out and receive an excellent one. As there's no guarantee, it's better to buy a suitable blade, just in case you need it.

Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?

Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. When you don't refill the truck, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.

Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck or large equipment?

No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We do not accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck. Large equipment and select tools also require ID verification via CLEAR.

How do I receive my large equipment rental?

Depending on your location, you may be able to get large equipment delivered straight to your job site for an affordable rate — whether that's at your home or out in the field. We'll need at least 24 hours' notice so we can adequately prep your rental delivery for you, and you'll need to rent it for a full day. In places where delivery isn't available, speak to an associate for the best way to get your large equipment.

What are some ways to avoid penalties and extra fees on rented large equipment?

Treat your rented large equipment as any other vehicle: Make sure it's parked legally and that you obey traffic laws. Read the instructions so you're using it correctly to avoid damaging the equipment or injuring yourself. Also, plan ahead to ensure the equipment is ready when you are, as cancelling within 12 hours of delivery means you'll incur a cancellation fee. Extend your rental period if you need extra time so you won't get hit with a late fee.
