What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

Took a very long time to get help. Associates say items are out of stock, but then they are visible on the shelf. Associates are not friendly, and act like they’re being bothered when help is needed. It took 25 minutes for someone to come help get something down, and me asking for someone 3 times. I used to love this store, but it has gone VERY down hill.

I am very gratefull for the help and assistance from the tile department, and customer service desk. It was a busy day but associates were calm and pleasant. The store had plenty of sanitizer and extra masks just in case one was needed. On 8/22/2020 I ordered material for a tile job, next day pickup. My order was complete and ready as promised. Reliable store, good prices.

We purchased a Maytag washer yesterday and were happy that we could afford a higher quality machine then we had planned because there was an in store sale going on. We saved $136.00 & got a higher quality unit we had ruled out based on higher internet web site pricing. We got quick & courteous service. My wife was very pleased since this was her first trip into any store in 100 days due to C-19 quarantine.

My visit to this store was an eye opener. Or people just don’t understand how severe this pandemic is. I don’t mind wearing masks but some just don’t care. Masks below nose and mouth or not even wearing one. This should be addressed. Should have More hand sanitizer stations.

I traveled 45 minutes to this particular store because they were the only ones in the area that had the boards I was looking for in stock. Online it stated they has 32 but when I got there all of the boards were mixed up and disorganized. I was passed between three different store associates before being handed off to the lumber guy who stated that the boards I was looking for were probably up top in one of the boxes and he wouldn't be able to get it down anytime soon. I asked for a discount on the higher cost boards that I was forced to purchase and was told no.
