I’m extremely upset with The Home Depot. (THD). I have spent over $5,000.00 in materials and labor with THD over the past few weeks, as I am renovating a property. For the most part I was satisfied with the level of service and the quality of products I’ve gotten with THD. I’ve even begun recommending THD to fellow investors and to contractors etc. However, today is the carpet installation day I BOOKED and PAID $1,720.91 for. I get a call from US installations, stating that THD did not deliver my carpet to them/ the warehouse and they therefore cannot complete the install. Keep in mind I paid the invoice on 2/28/2019 at 8:57pm. I PAID for “rapid 7 day install”, which is listed on the receipt. So this transaction should’ve been completed no later than 3/8/19. It’s now 3/11 and I got a call on the morning of my install letting me know they can not locate my carpet that I ALREADY PAID FOR? After being transferred and on the phone for nearly one hour, I spoke to a manager at the Decatur, GA store where I was told that they will send out the product to the contractor today, but they are unsure of what customer service allowances they can make at this time and they are unsure of my new installation date. I have been extremely inconvenienced by The Home Depot’s lack of professionalism and customer service. THD careless mistake and inability to resolve their mistake in a timely manner, is not only costing me time, but money, because this is an investment property. Without adequate resolution from corporate, I can honestly say, that I (and by business partners, contractors etc) will no longer patron this establishment for business or personal uses. I would appreciate it if someone from the corporate office would contact me directly.

I love the store because it is in my community and I believe in supporting my community. The staff is great and very patient and professional with the two (2) that I have dealt with; but, department need to answer the phone when a call is transferred to them. Improvements are needed in answering department phone calls or hire more staff.
