Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting CFLs, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, and plastic plant pots for recycling.
This store recycles all shrink wrap, contributing to the 780 million pounds that The Home Depot has sold to Trex in the past. This is used in composite decking, bringing us one step closer to a circular economy.
LED lights in your local store cut energy consumption by 98 million kilowatt hours. Many stores also participate in renewable energy initiatives like wind and solar.

Which real Christmas trees are gentlest for people with allergies?
If you're set on getting a living Christmas tree, the eastern white pine tends to be easier on folks with allergies. However, it depends on a person's individual allergies and how severe they are. When pine allergies are the culprit, try a spruce, Leyland cypress, or concolor fir. Wash your tree with a hose and blow it dry with a leaf blower before bringing it inside if possible. As any type of real Christmas tree might trigger allergies for some people, you may want to get a fake Christmas tree instead.
Does The Home Depot sell doorbell cameras?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a nearby window or peephole when you can see visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, which is useful for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. You can even show your holiday spirit if your doorbell cam has seasonal chime options. Get one this December and appreciate it all year-round.
Why should I get a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When browsing generators for sale, don't forget that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.
Should I do siding repairs before it gets cold?
Ready your home for cold weather by replacing any faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in any crevices, you could be headed for trouble. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofing panels or roof shingles for rust or damage that could let water in. Clean gutters to prevent ice dams. Check cinder block and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, change out vinyl siding and chimney caps if they're damaged.
What storage solutions do you offer?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow unused items to free up space. Garage cabinets keep tools, decorations, and more out of the way. Shoe storage and other storage containers remove summer belongings from the equation. Moving blankets can protect fragile items as they're packed together. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you the right amount of space.
