In colder climates, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, it may be an opportune time to clean up your home and indoor workspaces instead. A weekend cleaning the basement or garage will pay off when spring comes. You won't have to replace lost tools with new ones because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning tools, and you'll be ready when the cold moderates and the sun comes out.

How do I prepare for snow and freezing temperatures?

When you live in a region where snow falls, it's smart to upgrade or organize your snow removal tool kit before a big storm hits. Have a gas can ready to top off your gas snowblower if it's not already filled for the season, or check the battery on your electric snowblower. Don't forget to get out the sleds for the kids, and prep salt or ice melt and a salt spreader. Ensure your outdoor faucets are covered and drained, too, with all hoses disconnected. This basic prep keeps you ready for whatever winter weather brings.

Are Kids Workshops offered at the Wilmington Home Depot?

Our free Kids Workshops take place in-store every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. Registration for workshops is now available online. We have a new kit pack every month to keep your little doer engaged. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?

Home Depot gift cards are an excellent present for birthdays, housewarming parties, and the holidays. DIYers know they're fun to give and to receive. Bryan: Exceptional Customer Service

Bryan took my call regarding an item I had ordered online. (At the time, the Home Depot Customer Service Center was in the process of a system update and were unable to help). Bryan provided exceptional service, direction and information that will be helpful to me going forward. Bryan also assisted me when I went to the customer service desk that same morning.
