Is the company still adding wax on the tile for shipping purposes only? some customers complained that it is hard to remove.
Hello! Thank you for your question! The manufacturer adds small wax pieces to prevent the tiles from bumping into each other during transit so they do not break. They should be easy to remove with warm soapy water and a non abrasive cloth. I purchased 4 boxes of tile and found that every tile is covered with a white wax. The wax does not come off without heavy scrubbing with soap and water in a sink, which is not practical. Please confirm whether this is a defect with the batch of tile.
HI Nathan! Thank you for your question! The white wax you are seeing is what the manufacturer puts on the tiles to stop them from rubbing in transit so the tiles wont break. If you use a nonabrasive cloth with soap and water the wax should come off. I recently purchased and installed the black rhombus tile. some pieces have a white/grey markings on them. I thought it was grout dust but when I went to wash they remain. Is there a step I need to do after install cleaning or polishing wise to go away
