About This Product
The elegant designs and rich colors of these rugs are inspired from 19th century antique Persian rugs. A special herbal wash gives these rugs their luster and an aged patina. This collection is hand tufted in India of 100% hand-spun premium wool. This is a great addition to your home whether in the country side or busy city.
Highlights
- 100% Wool
- Cotton backing, rug pad (sold separately) recommended to help prevent shifting and sliding
- Hand tufted in India
- For an instant decorating makeover, this area rug is one of the easiest and most fashionable ways to refresh a room with character and style.
- Available in multiple sizes and/or colors
- Vacuum regularly and spot clean; for hard-to-remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended; rotating your rugs every 3-6 months will protect against uneven wear from foot traffic and furniture weight
- Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles
- New wool rugs shed as a natural consequence of how they are made; vacuum a new wool rug 1-2 times a week for the first few weeks using a low pressure vacuum cleaner without beater bars; vacuum in the direction of the pile, not against it; do not pull loose ends or stray loops, clip them with scissors to remove
- Avoid direct sunlight as it will cause the colors in your area rug to fade over time; place your area rug away from direct sunlight whenever possible
- Packing and shipping of your rug may cause temporary creases; these surface waves are not imperfections or damages and will gradually recede; back-rolling or reverse rolling is the fastest and easiest way to remove creases in your area rug; allow ample time for your rug to settle, these creases and waves will normally flatten out

Questions & Answers
From the picture I see red and not rust.
Hello! Please be advised color is subjective. We do our best to identify the colors of every rug as accurately as possible but there can be instances when color variations lead to subjective interpretations of particular color tones. Also, due to differences in monitor size & screen resolution, the color may appear slightly different in your browser than they do in person. If you would like to purchase a sample size from one of our collections, please contact a Safavieh Retail Store or a Safavieh Dealer in your area. Thank you for your question!
When I look at 2 different sizes (5 x 8, 6 x 9) in the same Antiquity Sage color, the green color looks extremely different. How will I know which is closer to the real color when the website shows them so differently? I like one and hate the other.
Hello Chris! Please refer to Safavieh website for the latest updated photos of the product. Thank you for your question!
Is there any formaldehyde in this rug, or other toxic fire retardants?
Hello! Safavieh rugs are not treated with any insect repellents, stain repellents, formaldehyde, or flame retardant chemicals. Thank you for your question!
What colors are in the Antiquity Sage?
Hi. Please refer to the detailed photo of the true colors which are: sage green, brown, red, beige, and ivory. Thank you for your inquiry.
The colors are a combination of Gold, Dijon Yellow, Red, Pickle Green, and Honey Orange.
Is the "gold" in the antiquity gold more beige or yellow Or mustard??
Hi Leslie. The gold in this rug is more of a light mustard color. Thank you for choosing The Home Depot!
In the Green/Brown rug, what color green is it? The photos differ? Mint? Sage? Forest? Seafoam?
Hi Hudson. The green in this rug is a light seafoam green. The main image is the old photo which we are looking to replace. The correct colors are found in the alternate photos. Thank you for choosing The Home Depot.
It looks like Black/Gold but I'm thinking it's really beige. I need Black/Gold. Thanks for you help.
Hello. Individual fibers are beige colored. Please be advise that under certain lighting, it may appear lighter. Thanks!
