Highlights
- 100% Polyester
- Cotton backing, rug pad (sold separately) recommended to help prevent shifting and sliding
- Hand tufted in china
- For an instant decorating makeover, this area rug is one of the easiest and most fashionable ways to refresh a room with character and style.
- Available in multiple sizes and/or colors
- Vacuum regularly and spot clean; for hard-to-remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended; rotating your rugs every 3-6 months will protect against uneven wear from foot traffic and furniture weight
- Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles
- Avoid direct sunlight as it will cause the colors in your area rug to fade over time; place your area rug away from direct sunlight whenever possible
- Packing and shipping of your rug may cause temporary creases; these surface waves are not imperfections or damages and will gradually recede; back-rolling or reverse rolling is the fastest and easiest way to remove creases in your area rug; allow ample time for your rug to settle, these creases and waves will normally flatten out

Questions & Answers
Is this washable & does it have non slip backing
Hi. This rug is not washable and we would recommend against any cleaners that use a liquid solution. It has a cotton backing but it is not non-slip, we would still recommend using a non-slip rug pad underneath. Thank you for your inquiry.
When will the Ivory 6x9 be back in stock? Thanks!
Hello. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances there has been a delay and we will not be receiving new stock for this item until March of 2021. That date is subject to change so we advise to add your email for stock notifications on this item. Thank you for your inquiry.
I'm looking at the pink Safavieh shag arctic and polar shag rugs. I'd like to know the difference. The arctic costs more. Is it made better, prettier?
Hi Becky. The largest difference is that the Arctic Shag has a cotton backing versus the no backing on the Polar shag. But another difference is the weave density on the pile of the rug, the Arctic Shag is much denser. Thank you for your inquiry.
Is the rug a Rectangle, 8'6" x 12'0" or a 9x12?
The rug is rectangle.
Hi Polly. This rug is 8'6" x 12'. It only uses the approximate rug size which rounds up the width to 9 ft. Thank you for your inquiry.
It is 8'6" x 12'0".
Would you please explain the main difference in appearance between the arctic shag, the polar shag and the luxe shag? It’s quite difficult to tell how the appearance is really any different since they are all 3” shags. Thank you.
Hi Missy. Between the three collections only the Polar Shag comes in the white color while the other comes in an ivory color. Those two also have cotton backings and are hand made versus the machine loomed Polar Shag. The difference between the Arctic Shag and Luxe Shag are the different types of fiber used in the pile. It is much more fine with a bit of sheen for the Luxe, much in the glam style. The Arctic Shag is more of a denser fiber. Thank you for your inquiry.
When will the 3x5 pink be back in stock?
Hi Kathy, the restocking ETA for this rug scheduled for mid June. Please be advised that this is an estimated date and is subject to change. Thank you for your inquiry.

What shade gray is this? light, medium, darker? In the pic it looks a little darker.
Hi Carrie. On a production level, this rug is labeled as gray. With that said, the rug is more of a medium to dark gray because the rug is so lush and thick in denseness. Thank you for your inquiry.
For those who have purchased, does the rug hold up? I am worried it will get pressed. I do see it says to rotate and am curious how it's held up.
Yes, the rug is holding up.
