how thick is the carpet?
Hello Paula, thank you for your interest in our shag rugs. The California Shag rug has a weave density of 62.400 PTS/ SQM. If you prefer something similar in style but with even more thickness, we highly recommend looking for the Milan Shag collection.
Is the shag all one length because there was picture where it was showing different lengths ? Thank you

Safavieh California shag 8x10 do I have to have a pad under it for it to feel comfy?
Hello NYPat, thank you for your inquiry. We highly recommend using a rug pad for all of our rugs to ensure grip and give it a plusher feeling to it. It is not mandatory, but you can first try without the rug pad to see how it feels.
Does this rug create “Imprints” when walking on it??
Hello Missy, thank you for your interest in our rugs. As for your inquiry, the California Shag rug is one of our most dense and plush rugs in our collection. There should not be any imprints when walking on it. However, it is also important to maintain your shag rug by using a carpet fork/rake.
Does this have any PFAS type chemicals added to make stain resistant, fire resistant, etc.,

How do you clean this rug?
Hello Lisa, if there are any spills, immediately remove any spills from your rug by pressing firmly with clean, white paper or cloth towels working from the outside of the spill inward to avoid spreading. Continue blotting the area (do not rub) until no moisture transfers to the towel/cloth. For stains, make a solution of the following: ¼ cup water, ¼ cup white vinegar, 1 tsp laundry detergent or original dawn (no bleach). This is only for spot cleaning. For an overall cleaning of the rug, please contact a professional rug cleaner.
Would like to install this area carpet on my stairs landing.
