Why is this foam brush not recommended for use with shellac or lacquer?
Thanks for the question. Foam applicators can make shellacs or lacquers bubble. Also, the solvent in the shellac or lacquer can sometimes attack the glue that holds the foam brush together, causing the brush to come apart. Thanks,

Do I dispose of the brush after every use? Can I run it under water and use it again?
Just wash it out under the faucet. No need for soap. Can use many times… or store it in a snack bag for use (again) later in the day.
You can reuse it if you put it in a sealed bag until later. However, the foam is not glued on to the handle well and it usually falls apart after each use or during the first use. I'm thinking of making my own with foam, their handle and strong glue.

I didn't see option to buy in case. If you have Ocean state Joblot nearby, foam brushes are of better quality there and little cheaper than HD.
