Please provide more information on what you mean by "conditioning" the door. If you are applying a pre-stain product, we would recommend a foam brush or premium, natural bristle brush, as Chip brushes are much lower quality. Thanks,

These brushes are only designed for adhesives, epoxies, glues and removers. They will not leave a good finish and are not recommended for lacquers or urethanes. A better option will be a good quality natural bristle brush (if a solvent based lacquer) or a good quality synthetic bristle brush (if a water based product). Thanks,

We do not recommend using Chip brushes for cabinet work, as they do not hold much material and will shed bristles. These brushes are recommended for epoxies, adhesives and solvents. For varnishing cabinets, please consider a good quality applicator specifically designed for your coating. Regarding clean up, that will vary by the type of varnish you use - generally, paint thinner for oil based varnishes, soap and water for water based coatings.
