About This Product

2 in. x 10 ft. Electric Metallic Tube Conduit offers protection from magnetic fields, impact damage and crushing when pulling electrical cable. This steel conduit resists flattening, kinking and splitting and is coated with zinc for corrosion and abrasion resistance. Allied conduit has an E-Z pull interior coating provides a smooth surface for faster wire pulling. Allied Tube & Conduit EMT is hot galvanized using a patented in-line Flo-Coat process. This process combines zinc, a conversion coating, and a clear organic polymer topcoat to form a triple layer of protection against corrosion and abrasion.

Q:Can a outdoor extension cord fit thru the pipe
by|Sep 20, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Electrical conduit is meant to be run with THHN conductors and we are not able to assist with whether an extension cord could fit inside as that is not the intended or code for product use.

A:  2" EMT Conduit is rated for Electrical raceway use and is not intended to be used for a weight bearing application. So we are not able to tell you whether this will handle a 10-20ld weight load since that is not its correct use.

          Home Depot Erector Set
Here is a stand, could be a table or? And a temporary off-grid solar panel rack built with EMT. Thanks to PG&E for the motivation. The stand is 2” emt and 4x4s. Held together with 3/8 threaded rod or all-thread. Between the pipe ends and the 4x4 is a 1x1-1/2 reducing washer. The screw heads center the EMT. The solar rack is ½” and ¾” emt, fastened with drill screws.

Drove 60 miles roundtrip to pick up six (6) as indicated by your website to be available at the Tyler, TX store, but when I got there only one (1) was available. But the local electrical supply company had plenty of them in stock, and now I wish I had gone there instead of Home Depot. On the bright side, your employee that helped me in the store was so pleasant; she deserves a promotion.
