Do you have sitting water issue when using indoor?

Can you just place the plant in that is already in a pot?
Yes absolutely!
Yes. There is an insert that sits about 12 or so inches from the top, down in the pot. You can sit a pot on that insert. I use mine outside so I put quite a few rocks in the bottom so the wind won’t blow it over.
Yes and no. It’s very deep. I’ve done it both ways I have placed an empty container in the bottom and placed a plant in the original container on top. And I’ve also filled them with dirt. I LOVE THEM!!

How do you go about watering your plants without sitting water?
Mine came with a square planter base and either had a hole or pop out for one. I used mine for fake plant, but with hole at the bottom if over watered, the water would run out, so should be no issue with sitting water.
If your planters are indoors then we suggest you start by adding just enough water to saturate 60-75% of the soil for the first few weeks or until you start to learn how much water your plant needs. For indoor plants want your soil to stay moist to the touch for 1-2 days and then drier to the touch for 1-3 days (depending on the plant). ---- If your planter is located outdoors and exposed to rain then we recommend knocking out 2-4 drainage holes in the base of planter prior to planting. This will ensure healthy drainage and aeration for outdoor plants during peak growing season. Thank you.

Yes, depending on what you're putting in there and how much wind your porch gets, I would throw a couple of pounds of rock in it to weigh it down
which way do you insert the filter- cone bevel up or cone opening facing downward towards bottom of planter???
It is designed to go narrow side down and seals up a bit better that way, but it will work either way.
