These fittings are highly resilient, with high-tensile and high-impact strength. Intended for pressure use where systems will not exceed 140° F. Conforms to meet Standards: ASTM D 1784, ASTM D 2466, NSF 14 and 61PVC Schedule 40. Has better sound deadening qualities than PVC Schedule 40 DWV Foam Core and ABS Foam Core. If the PVC pipe is 1-1/2" you will want the same size for the couplings (fittings/connectors). The inside of this piece (in the 1-1/2" size) willbe a little bigger than the outside of 1-1/2" pipe. You can always test fit the pieces together at the store.
