Served the intended purpose of dividers for a shelf unit. Quality was good. For my use (required a completely clean rod) the adhesive label was a real pain to remove. My use would have benefited from a 6 foot rod which was not available.

I cut off little 1/4" pieces and then put them in a drilled hole in my wood projects. Inserted them into the hole (gluing if needed). This made for a great magnet catch to keep my spice cabinet doors closed. It was easy to cut and file.

Just the right item for my project.
I needed a 5/8" diameter rod to use for an axle to put wheels on my Honda generator (my wheels had 5/8" bearings). This rod was ideal for the job. I simply cut it to the required length with a hacksaw and smoothed the cut end with a grinding wheel, then drilled 1/8" holes for cotter pins to secure the location of the wheels, and finally used two pieces of flat stock as clamps to bolt it to the machine's chassis. Easy-peasy. The zinc plating will prevent rust and keep it looking like new.

under sized
I bought two of these to make some axles for a project I am working on, but the diameter is .020 to .025 under sized. I don’t know what they will ever be good for, they will go into my scrap metal pile.
