The STINGER BRUSH COMPANY 2 in. Angled Sash Trim Brush is a unique design. The "Stinger Tip" is a nice feature and makes staining and finishing the inside corners of craftsman style doors a snap. The soft bristles are great for applying even coats of stain or paint. The bristles of this brush are of a nylon consistency so there is no fuzziness nor are there loose bristles to mar the finish application.

Two inch Angled Sash Trim Brush. This Stinger brand paint brush has a unique filament design. The red bristles on the longer side of the angled brush extend out slightly beyond the blue bristles on the remainder of the sash brush. These longer slightly firmer bristles give you great control in small places and the flexibility of a much smaller brush for tight spaces, yet the 2inch brush holds enough paint for long even trim strokes, and finishes cleanly with the red longer edge of the brush. The brush delivers paint well, and you can get good clean trim lines. Is the design just a gimmick, or is it a good feature? I’m not sure, but I do really like how it paints. I’m pleased with what I’ve done with it so far, and looking forward to using it more. The wooden handle is long and is comfortable. The brush weight is well balanced. This brush is very well made, and does clean up easily. I’m quite satisfied with this trim brush.

High quality paint brush for painting surface less than 4 inches and where edging is necessary. The bush bristles spread evenly therefore allowing you to edge against surfaces without taping. The paint spreads evenly and without having to use much force. The handle fits your hand well and is long enough to allow for a firm grip. The brush cleans easily in warm water with a touch of hand soap. I would recommend this brush to anyone that paints no matter of experience.

I also have the 2 1/2 inch brush. It is probably a little better for most uses because it holds more paint and makes a cut in that easily works with a followup roller. For tighter uses, like door jambs in corners, this is a better choice. The bush holds paint well and makes trim cut in's very neatly. Construction is sold and cleanup is easy. Works with any paint.

This paint brush has a unique feature utilizing slightly longer and stiffer (red) bristles which enable easier access to inside corners and helps to define straight lines and edges with greater accuracy. This brush cleans up easily as compared to some other brushes I have used, however it must be noted that the red bristles do take a bit more time and energy to get those stiffer bristles clean.

These paint brushes pick up paint smoothly and glide it on my project easily. I wasn't sure about the extra length on the one side, but it really does help get into a corner with less mess on the opposing surface. I like the wooden handles because they aren't as slick to hold onto for me. The bristles lay nice and after a couple of hours of painting none have fallen out.

A quality sash brush is probably the most important paint tool you will ever own, and it's essential to cutting in ceilings, trim, baseboard, window sash around light fixtures etc. I tried this Stinger brush and there are some things I definitely like about it. The build quality is outstanding, the handle looks like it's a hardwood and the grain is straight and it's well sanded, the hole to hang the brush on a hook is even nicely reamed. The handle is very straight with no taper until it comes close to the ferrule and it's a good comfortable brush with decent balance when gripped in the center. The ferrule is perfectly smooth, not one seam, and it is perfectly flush with the wood body so there are no sharp edges or nails to loosen. As we move up the brush we have two different types of bristles. The bristles feel a little plasticky (if that's a word), the blue bristles feel softer than the red 'stinger' bristles. I had a length of wide baseboard to paint with a curved profile and thin lip at the top, the Stinger brush cut in this thin profile beautifully. And the 'stinger' tip lets you get into a corner and make a crisp line without needing painters tape. After I cut in my edge I needed to fill the field of the tall baseboard and this is where I see the design of the brush as slightly flawed - as you paint a large flat surface with this brush the stiffer red bristles drag off the paint that the blue bristles just laid down, leaving a sliver of a thin area that I had to go back over a second time and trying to keep pressure off the stinger tip. I washed the brush after with some soap and water and this brush released the paint better than I've ever seen. I don't know how the brush will hold up to brush cleaner or a brush comb but if always cleans up so easily you many not ever need those things. I think if you are unsteady cutting in or always need painters tape you should give this brush a try. I have a lot of sash brushes but if I had to make a crisp line of a dark wall color against a white ceiling I would definitely reach for this, especially if following up with a roller to keep the line wet. But if you're painting a piece of furniture or a paneled door, doorjamb or window casing using an enamel I would use a conventional sash brush as I think they can tip off better and would lay a smoother coat of paint.

Wow, what a paintbrush. Okay I have to be honest, I normally use a cheapo or budget brush but was wondering how a quality brush will do. It puts the paint on smoother and hardly the lines I would always get with cheap brushes. I believe it is because the bristles on this brush are much finer and feels smoother too. What I liked was the extended tip, which was good for me to get at tight corners to get paint in and also to get too much paint out of there too. Even though blue tape makes it more forgiving in painting certain areas, sometimes I just can't get the tape applied correctly or missed an area. That is where this tip comes in for me. I'm not a professional painter but a DIYer. I liked the feel of the wooden handle and that groove at the neck of the paint brush sat well in between my thumb and pointer finger. But also when I had to reach over a bit, the handle gave me the right amount of feel at that length of reach. Overall a very comfortable brush in hand. I like it better than cheaper brushes I have used in the past. Last tip, don't throw away the packaging. I used it to keep the cleaned brush to keep the bristles from spreading away too

I got this STINGER BRUSH COMPANY 2 in. Angled Sash Trim Brush because I though the longer red piece would be great for cutting in between the ceiling and the walls. I'm painting the ceiling in my pantry which has a vaulted ceiling, angled, and is textured. This brush didn't cut in as well as I was hoping on the texture and got paint on the walls, which I touched up with white paint and finished painting 2 coats on the ceiling today light blue. Clean up was fast and easy. I love the long handle. I'm sure it will do excellent job when paint all my trim, kitchen and bath cabinets this spring with the White Cabinet & Trim Paint. Great addition to my paint brushes. I've been painting for years and I'm an Artist. I've painted different colors through out my house since 1998. The pantry is one I haven't painted and wanted to paint the ceiling before installing a new light fixture. I took the old light down before recv'ing this paint brush so no electricity in the pantry, I use a flash light set on the top shelf to see to paint.

Great brush, I like this one better for interior latex trim, it also did a great job on the shelf top I painted, minimal brush marks. It does take a bit of additional work to load up the brush compared to other ones. The "extended tip" on this one is a bit softer than the PRO model a d works really well for what I was painting. This is the medium grade, next I'll try the softer one so I have all three versions to work with. The softest should work well for fine detail trim. This one for normal trim and cutting in and of course the Pro model for when I need the stiff extended tip to get into corners. This brush cleaned up extremely easy and the paint was fully removed from deep in the brush. No doubt this brush will last me many years of use and remain clean and usable without building up paint in the heal of the brush like the cheap ones do. This may be the last trim brush I buy.
