Here is a helpful guide for maintaining your 100% Polypropylene rug: Regular vacuuming helps rugs retain their beauty and extends the life of the rug. Clean spills immediately: blot clean with a clean cloth and a solution of clear dish washing detergent (non-bleach) and water. Do not dry clean. Do not bleach. Apart from regular home upkeep, we strongly recommend professional cleaning. To keep your rugs looking fresh, they should be brought to a reputable cleaner at least once a year.

Hi Kat, this is Grace with nuLOOM! Thank you for your inquiry. This rug features a Jute backing which is safe for hardwood flooring. Jute, however, does slip. For safety reasons, we recommend using a non-slip rug pad with any rug that does not already have a non-slip backing, unless you plan to keep the rug securely in place under heavy furniture.
I've put it directly on engineered red oak floor for a few years, no damage to the floor. But it moves. It is very thin, which works perfectly at our front door.
