Hello Betsy, thank you for your question. If you're referring to the push-button SinkTop switch, it requires a hole diameter of 1 1/4" to 1 1/2” and can accommodate up to a 1 3/4" thick counter. It is also ideal for island installations. I currently have a Badger model 5-84A with a 1/2 hp and I would like to know if I can upgrade to this 1 hp without having a professional plumber do the job?
yes, as long as you have enough space under your sink because it might be a little bigger, but there are no other differences in terms of installation. They should attach essentially the same way, and they would both use 120v outlet.
