About This Product
The Blossom rug collection by Safavieh is a bold and colorful update of the classic hooked rug. Constructed of large hand woven loops rather than traditional hooking, the texture of Blossom rugs inspires a fresh approach to country casual interiors preferred by today's young consumers. Woven of 100% wool in India, the Blossom collection brings traditional English chintz and block print motifs into the 21st century with fashion flair. This is a great addition to your home whether in the country side or busy city.
Highlights
- 100% Wool
- Cotton backing, rug pad (sold separately) recommended to help prevent shifting and sliding
- Hand tufted in India
- For an instant decorating makeover, this area rug is one of the easiest and most fashionable ways to refresh a room with character and style.
- Available in multiple sizes and/or colors
- Vacuum regularly and spot clean; for hard-to-remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended; rotating your rugs every 3-6 months will protect against uneven wear from foot traffic and furniture weight
- Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles
- New wool rugs shed as a natural consequence of how they are made; vacuum a new wool rug 1-2 times a week for the first few weeks using a low pressure vacuum cleaner without beater bars; vacuum in the direction of the pile, not against it; do not pull loose ends or stray loops, clip them with scissors to remove
- Avoid direct sunlight as it will cause the colors in your area rug to fade over time; place your area rug away from direct sunlight whenever possible
- Packing and shipping of your rug may cause temporary creases; these surface waves are not imperfections or damages and will gradually recede; back-rolling or reverse rolling is the fastest and easiest way to remove creases in your area rug; allow ample time for your rug to settle, these creases and waves will normally flatten out

Gorgeous...better than expected
Thick rug. Nice details and true to picture online, if not better. Unrolled nicely...took it outside for a few hours to air out, new rug smell and all...went away, and I'm highly sensitive to smells and airing this rug out was beneficial. Nice off white color with taupe and gray. Details are almost 3D and nice to walk on. Highly recommend this rug.

Ivory/grey is beautiful, size is smaller than advertised
Beautiful, but I would take a star off because the size is 7 ft. 8 inches square, not 8' x 8'. It makes a difference to my guest room walking space around the bed. The rug doesn't smell, at least to my nose. Am deciding if it's worth returning for another size or finding another room to use it in. This is my 8th Safavieh rug.

Hello Kimg and thank you for choosing Safavieh. Safavieh rugs may vary within a few inches. This is common in all Safavieh power-loomed rugs since it's woven by computer-controlled machines. This is also common in Safavieh Hand-Tufted Rugs, and Safavieh Hand-Knotted or Hand Woven rugs. Please know that if you ever have any questions, comments or concerns about this or any Safavieh item you can reach us at www.safavieh.com/contact

These rugs are absolutely beautiful as high-end as rug could be although they came folded all the creases have gone away. They have settled beautifully on the floor. The end stay down the corner stay down I couldn’t be more pleased with this rug that cost so it looks so beautiful.

This rug was not cheap and is already easily damaged by furniture or doors grazing over it. With something at this price and how new it is, I expected something far more durable.

Hello Valerie, thank you for your review. This rug is a handmade wool rug which can be delicate and experience shedding. We do not recommend placing this rug near any doors if it will graze it as that will increase shedding. If you desire to place furniture on top, it is best to have something that does move like couches, otherwise friction will damage the rug and cause bunching. If you want a durable rug, it is best to look for synthetic rugs like polyester or polypropylene. For more information, feel free to contact us at https://safavieh.com/contact.
