how long dies it take for that weird chemical smell to go away? can I spray anything on it to speed up process?
Hello, Thank you for reaching out! Mohawk rugs are not chemically treated. The only smell that would be on the rug would be from the plastic wrapping that is used to protect the area rug while in storage in our warehouse and during shipping. After removing the area rug from the plastic bag the smell should subside in about a week. You can always “air” the rug outside on a pretty day to help speed up the process.
Is it ok to vacuum this rug?
Hello, Thank you for reaching out! Yes you can vacuum this rug, remove the beater bar or disengage the brush roll function to prevent snags and pulls.
I had no problems with the vacuum and the rug.
