Answer This Question

A:  For pet parents we recommend Morton Safe T Pet. Its formula is free of both salts and chlorides to be less irritating to pets’ paws than plain salt, keeping your pets safer during the winter months.

Both packages had multiple "clumps" of pellets that were solidified making it very difficult to use and spread. The product was either not stored properly before sale or was not properly conditioned or stored by the manufacturer or distributor. I would estimate that between 10-15% of the total volume of each bag was clumped in this manner. Picked up at Pontiac, Michigan store. Note: previously purchased 50lb of ice pellets (brand name) at your Southfield, Michigan store at there was no clumping.

Got this Ice Melt just in time for the “deep freeze” headed our way! Shared some with my neighbor last night and we both believe it did a great job after the snow cleanup yesterday - temps to drop tonight to 0 so we are confident it can keep the ice away! GOOD STUFF!

        Awesome Ice Melt
I did a lot of research of which type of icemelt to use on my one year-old asphalt driveway. The same answer kept on coming up where most people and asphalt companies suggested to use calcium chloride, either pellets or flakes. I purchased this 50 pound bag of Morton calcium chloride ice melting pellets, from Home Depot, and boy, it is great! As soon as these pellets get applied to the ice, it starts immediately to melt the ice. One of the best things about this icemelt is that there is no powdery residue whatsoever.

Bags left in rain all wet when I picked up.
I spent close to $200 for rock salt for my rentals when I picked this stuff up the bags were all dirty a d I got home the bottoms all wet. It was as if they were stored outside and they got wet. each bag was also light. they were sealed but each bag was off around 6 to 7 lbs. I usually would jave called them back but this was going into winter and almost impossible to find. I need to call them.
