I bought 1 pallet. And the pallet was exposed to moisture. When it arrived onsite, there were 50, 50 pound bags of solid salt rock. What’s worse, the bags at the bottom of the pallet were more solid than the bags on top. The guys had to use maillots and throw the bags on the ground to break it up. I had to pay them more for the extra effort. It was the right thing to do. Hone Depot knew better and didn’t do better. Ask them specifically to salt that is stored out of moisture.
Sure. But delivery is no less than $79. Call ahead to see if they have a pallet available if you plan on having it loaded onto your truck with a forklift.
You can ask at the customer service desk where it is so you won't be wandering. 9 out of 10 times it's in the garden department or right in front of you when you walk in the door.
If you feel like picking out all of the rocks from the bag you can probably do it. It IS called ROCK salt for a reason.
It might absorb some moisture but buy a product made for that application. Home Depot sells such a product called DampRid which works very well in basement etc.
I didn’t like fact it was delivered in front of my garage door and not at my front door. Elderly disabled people live here and had to get someone to carry the bags up the incline.
