You may be asking "What does this product do?". It's meant to be a home decoration item, so it doesn't really do anything other than just sit wherever you place it and look nice. However, I've found that the clear glass sphere also entices you and your friends to pick the sphere up from it's glass base and just hold and admire it. The glass sphere itself is approximately 4 3/4 inches in diameter and highly polished. The sphere alone weighs in at 4 lbs. and 12.3 ounces, while the combined weight of sphere and base is 5 lbs. and 8.8 ounces. The sphere is fairly stable on it's base - it sits in a depression in the base, but a pet or child may disturb it, so be careful. You definitely don't want the sphere to drop on your foot! Additionally, you may want to be careful to place it out of direct sunlight since the sphere is essentially a large lens and will focus the sunlight on a small area. The product is made in China and comes in a kind of flimsy box that is only intended to get it to you in an undamaged state.

This is a lovely piece of art. It is just a perfect sphere and so well balanced on the base. It is incredibly heavy at just over six pounds. I was very surprised at the weight and the way it sits so perfectly on it's base, it will spin for a long time and is mesmerizing to watch spin. It is so clear it takes a few minutes to be able to see the spin wave form inside the ball. It will look great where ever it is displayed in the room and sure to draw admiring looks.

This is a high quality lass ball that adds a classy touch to a desk or a bookcase. A secondary use will be when Halloween arrives and can be used as a Faux fortune teller costume. while it may be a little small for that it is really solid and heavy. Since the base is clear glass it can be placed on a box with a light inside to make it glow. If you use colored blinking lights it gives an interesting result.

Remarkable for its clarity and style, the A&B HOME crystal ball is unique as it sits among the collection of décor items on our family room cabinet. A fine addition to the glass pieces displayed there, it is stunning because of its large size. When unpacking the ball and base from the cardboard box, I was amazed at the weight (4.8 pounds) of this attractive item.

Pure Fun!! This statue just makes me smile because it’s so pretty and whimsical!! I can arrange it with other glass pieces or create a séance at my dining room table!! lol… The 2 piece statue is 6 inches tall with the sphere and stand. The bottom glass stand is 1 ½ inches tall and its bottom base is a 2 5/8 inch square that tapers to the base top that is 2 inches square. The top of this glass stand has a rounded indention where the glass sphere sits. Made in China. I’m very happy!!!

If you enjoy spheres, you will really love this one. The stand is the only weak point. It wouldn't take much to tumble if the surface was jolted,, say for example, a table. Totally clear and blemish free glass orb and stand. In order to make sure the orb doesn't tumble from the stand, use a clear sticky moldable tape or museum putty. The sphere is heavy and feels great just holding it. It has a decorative box for storage, but the box itself is very flimsy.

I have been in awe since I was a small child with spherical glass globes. My grandmother had one that you could put fresh flowers and water in. And, of course the snow globes that swirled white "snow" around inside the globe after you shook it.
This one has taken the prized spot on the mantel of my electric fireplace. I enjoy all my globes, this one probably more than any of the others.
