Q:I'm concerned about bacteria that splash onto the wand making their way back into the warm water reservoir. Is there a way to periodically disinfect the reservoir? Running water through the wand doesn't disinfect it.

Looks great! I should have checked the specs to make sure I was ready for installation. GFCI outlet? Check! (note that there’s also one built into the cord’s plug). Flange distance from wall? Check! Water supply coming out of wall? Nope… Our water supply line comes up from the floor. I thought it may be an issue for the water filter, but according to customer service as long as the water supply line reaches, it’s fine. Phew! Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to install it now that I’ve learned it can work… and in the meantime we’ve decided to move around the toilets we have to different bathrooms. So I’ll keep this review focused on why I chose Anzzi’s Envo Aura smart toilet and bidet. Simply put, it has all the features I was looking for. If there is such a thing as bathroom “tech,” this thing fits the bill. While it’s called a “smart” bidet, just note that you can’t control it from a phone. My baseline expectations for features were that of a rather fancy bidet seat attachment (we have one of those too). At a minimum I wanted heated seat with adjustable temperature, different temperature warm water posterior and feminine washes, oscillating front to back head, before and after self cleaning nozzle, adjustable warm air blow dry, in seat sensor, power save mode, night light, and soft close lid. In addition to those features, this model also has 4 ways to flush (auto flush, foot sensor, remote control, and manual), 3 in 1 nozzle with a child’s wash, deodorizer (runs during and then for 1.5 minutes after leaving seat), moving dryer outlet, and battery backup. Everything is selected using the remote control although there are basic features on the toilet's side control dial .Two minutes of washing per button press is the right amount of time in my experience, and while the marketing says “hands free,” you still need to handle the remote... It’s not a voice activated remote. :) Nowhere in the manual does it say whether you can sit on the lid, but what I know about plastic lids and seats (and I’ve had many), they will get scratched. Whether it’s from pets or the grommets of jeans, scratches will happen. To be safe I won’t be sitting on the lid to clip my toenails. A few other things… I considered putting this in a half bath, but given I’d have to place it adjacent to a small sink, I decided to put it in a bathroom with less possibility of water splashing on the electronics. And lastly, measuring from the floor to top of the seat (not lid) measures approximately 16”, which is standard; however, I’m tall. I’ve gotten used to a slightly taller toilet seat with a bidet attachment (18.5”). I’ll be curious to see if I experience any back strain from sitting lower. Overall I’m really excited to put this thing to work once we sort out the logistics of which bathroom it should be in.

Excellent quality, stylish, high efficiency bidet toilet but BEWARE the retrofit! I installed this toilet in my powder room and replaced a conventional toilet with a heated bidet seat that I added a while back. First, I'll address the toilets features. It has everything you can ask for in a bidet toilet: warm water cleaning with adjustments for pressure, positioning if the nozzle, and water temperature; heated seat and air drying both with adjustable temperature; and even a deodorizing function; and it has water saving features as well. Once this toilet is installed, it's as nice as they come! However, the install was a bit of a challenge. This is a tankless toilet which adds to its stylish appearance and low water usage but it requires a much larger supply line and supply valve. Fortunately, the valve is included but in my case, my existing 3/8" valve was connected directly to 1/2" CPVC tubing that came through the wall too high and too close to the centerline of the waste flange. which did not allow room to mount the toilet on the flange. Even if the supply line was in an acceptable position, mounting the new valve to a poorly supported piece of tubing was not acceptable, The valve needs to be mounted to a well supported 1/2" pipe stub located at least 7.5' to the left of the toilet flange centerline and less than 6" off the floor. I was lucky in that my power room is located above my unfinished basement shop so it was not too hard to relocate the supply valve; extra work but not something I could not handle. So if this toilet is for a full renovation or new build, make sure your plumber has the right information But if for a simple replacement, check location of flange and supply line before you purchase.......and don't forget you need an outlet close by as well since this, as with all heated bidets, needs to be plugged in! There was one other issue with the supplied valve that I should mention. The thread pitch is the same as 1/2" pipe but it is a straight thread. A female adapter was included with instructions to use 13 - 15 wraps of Teflon tape on the valve and pipe stub which is NOT how Teflon tape is supposed to be used! I followed instructions but also added a rubber washer (similar to what is found on a garden hose) between the end of the valve and pipe stub threads for added leak protection. This is the main reason why my rating is only 4 stars because, other than that, this seems like a great product - although I only finished installing and putting to use today.

I have had extensive experience with conventional bidets (and toilets, of course). I installed one during my first master bath remodel over 45 years ago. They were common in Europe at the time, but never really caught on in the USA. Maybe it was the extra space they take up. We moved from that home several years ago, thus leaving the bidet behind. So, I jumped at the opportunity to request the Annzi Envo Aura Smart bidet and toilet combination. Whereas conventional bidets are separate fixtures, this is a combination product that only takes up the space of a single fixture. The fixture can function as a conventional dual flush toilet, but it has so many more features. You can read the product description for yourself, but a few highlights need to be repeated. You will need a 15-amp receptacle close by to plug the GFCI equipped plug into for power. There is also back-up battery power—1 X 9-volt—to activate the flush cycle during a power loss. The remote uses 2 X AAA batteries. All batteries are included. Saying that using this toilet will be “different” in many ways is an understatement. It is not really a “smart” toilet in the way “smart” is used for devices in the USA as it is not Wi-Fi connected to a smart phone for control. None the less, it has its own very sophisticated remote control that comes with a wall-mounted shelf for storage. The retractable spray nozzle moves back and forth from its parked, out-of-the way position. The strength of the spray is adjustable, as are the temperatures of the water and dryer air. The seat is also heated and there is a nightlight. There are several ways to activate the toilet, but the go-to ways are the seat sensor which flushes the toilet when you stand up and motion activated foot sensor. For the bidet functions to work, you must be seated but the flush cycle can be activated standing up. There is a learning curve but if you make a commitment to using all the functions, it will spoil you, and save water and eliminate toilet paper use. The description says that it uses less water than standard toilets, but I could not determine the actual flush volume. I have a sense that the wash functions off-set any flush water saving, however It meets EPA WaterSense Criteria. The package includes a new wax ring with integral plastic collar, an ABS toilet flange for new installations, bolts and screws, and a special shut-off valve with an integral filter. The toilet has a standard 12-inch rough-in. The unit is 25-3/4-inches deep by 16-inches wide with a seat height of 16-inches. To gain access to the toilet flange bolts requires lifting the seat-lid assembly since the mounting points are inside the toilet base and only accessible from the top. The assembly removes easily but having an assistant or a prop to hold the assembly up makes the process easy. The heated plastic seat is included, and the one-piece bowl is porcelain china. Having repaired conventional toilets and changing the faucets and internals on a bidet, the only question I am left with is who do you call to fix this smart fixture? The limited lifetime warranty does provide some comfort. However, the non-transferrable warranty does not cover failures due to hard water and mineral deposits. Also, return shipping costs are not covered. Be sure to register the product and keep your receipt. The instructions are good but there are a few language translation misses. For example, the buttons on the remote are called “keys” and the wall-mounted holder for the remote control is called a “retaining seat.” The toilet is made in PRC…not Italy as I expected.

I wasn't certain I needed this, but it turns out I do. I was also under the impression that installing a bidet was difficult and required a lot of prep work. This one did not. The install was nearly as simple as the install of a standard toilet with a few minor differences. The size and spacing from flange to wall was the same, and same bolts and wax ring, but did require a special valve fitting. While this was included, my copper pipe used a feral and this needed a threaded end so a trip to the store to get a shark bite fitting made that quick and easy. The only other unexpected bit was that the bidet needs electricity so you will need an outlet nearby, preferably somewhere low and behind the toilet. While that was a bit of an issue, what made up for it was that it didn't need a separate hot water line. The bidet heats the water internally and does so, very well. As for function, it does exactly what its supposed to do. Has loads of buttons and options to get it dialed in to your liking. Nice little touches like the nightlight, heated seat, auto sensing flush, all help to make this premium product feel very much worth it.

Installation was a huge pain. Would not recommend as a retro fit for a do-it-yourself’er as it is not designed to plug in where normal plumbing would be. Once installed it has been fantastic. Only other complaint was the instructions for removing the top. It looks like you simply pull it off. This is not the case. You have to unscrew 4 different spots. Quality is great once installed.

Easy install just make sure you have a plug next to the toilet. This is my second purchase. I will be buying one for the guest bath.
