The Air Vent 800 CFM Solar Powered Attic Fan is a durable rooftop fan. I bought this one to replace the same one that had been on the roof for 10 years. I was replacing my old roof and wanted to make sure everything was updated. The old fan was still working after 10 years on the roof. I placed the solar panel on top of the new one and the moment I placed it in sun light, the fan started. The motor is quiet and handles the Southeastern storming weather with ease.

Wrong Watt
160 watt is not correct, suppose be 10 watt.! Waste my time and full refund back.

It was easy to install and works when the sun...
It was easy to install and works when the sun is shining on it. It does not respond to light, only direct sun. /it would have been good if it said that in the instructions. But in the afternoon it cools the attic and therefore the house.

Good, but test it before mounting.
I put this on a shed but tested it before mounting. Glad I did.
It didn't work because the inner screen was installed incorrectly from the factory and the fan blades hit the screen and wouldn't move. So, with a little adjustment of the screen mount to the fan housing bolts, it worked perfectly.
It would have been a real pain to fix it while it was mounted on the roof.
So. Check for functionality BEFORE you install it.
Otherwise, it's great so far. Looks just like the AC powered fans. Only runs with sunshine.
