This Cooper APX exit sign is very nice product. Needing to replace a battery in an old sign we decided to replace the whole sign. This model has everything I was looking for and uses less electricity than our older unit. Being thermoplastic its much lighter and mounts very easy with included brackets for ceiling , wall or end mounting , with standard electrical connections. Being 120/277 Vac give you some options . Universal design to meet most codes, single and double faced with removable chevrons if needed. The bulbs are LED Mounted on a circuit board, very bright but not replaceable and are red.. The back up battery is a single cell NiCad . This is an OEM battery with a plug on it , Not sure how it can be replaced if needed . I don’t see any replacement parts . I guess only time will tell. Everything looks good passed inspection works well.

I got this light with the idea of determining how well it would perform and compare to what I currently put into my restaurants.
Once I got this sign in, it was very close to what I have used before. The timing was very good as I was short an exit sign and needed to install one at our main entrance. I did install the exit sign and it worked like a charm. I went and got 2 lights to add onto the unit. It was amazing how easy it was to adapt the lights. The fixture is preset to allow adding on or positioning the light in multiple ways. I hung the unit from the wall and added lights so I would not have to add a separate fixture. This was quite easy to use and it looks like it will last a very long time and have little issues due to the lighting being the future.

All I needed was a simple single sided lighted exit sign. This particular light gave me an option for being two sided, wall or ceiling mounted and surpassed by expectations.
