A: Hi Nico, You can set up a routine with your smart plug to automatically complete at a certain time each day if you wish to turn power on and off without having to manually do it in the Alexa App. If there is no power to the plug and it will not work with the outlet the smart plug will show as offline and need to be re set up. From there, a routine can be set up via the Alexa app by tapping the three bars at the bottom and hitting routines, you can also see recent activity on the Alexa app if the light or plug has been turned off and what is turned on by looking at the homepage of the Alexa app. Hope that helps!
A: You can name each unit. Eg living room light, garage light. You can also setup groups for example Living room and light 1 and light 2. Devices are excellent compared to some others
A: Your Alexa automatically sequentially numbers it (e.g., eleventh plug). You can then rename it.
A: Hi Robin! You can label each individual plug any name you'd like. Before setup, download or update the Alexa app in your mobile device's app store. Plug your device into the wall. Open the Alexa app. Open More and select Add Device. Select Plug. Follow the instructions to setup your device. Routines are a way for Alexa to automatically perform actions, or a series of actions. You can have up to 99 routines on your account at a time. For example, say "Start my day" to have Alexa turn on your compatible smart lights and tell you the weather forecast. You can create routines based on events like saying "Good morning," the time of day, or when a song is requested. To set up a routine, follow these steps: 1. Open the Alexa app . 2. Open "More" and select Routines. 3. Select Plus. 4. Select When this happens, and follow the steps in the app to choose what starts your routine. 5. Select Add action, and follow the steps in the app to choose the action of your routine. You can select multiple actions for the same routine. 6. Select Save. Have a great day!
