I replaced existing cartridges in tub set up after 18 years. I picked up the replacement cartridges on 11/13/2020, pick up code 949491.
Lat night the faucet at the tub started dripping at an alarming rate. This morning I took out the hot water cartridge in pieces.
Just about a month and it has failed completely.
This is not what I expected.

Stopped my leak real fast,i replaced the left/hot side.
Very east to assemble,this model comes standard to work on the left side,if u need to replace 2 of them,there is no hot and cold,it's only 1 model and it's interchangeable,for the right side you just have to remove the clip and rotate it 90 degrees and reattach the clip,there's a video on youtube to show you how by american standard. https://youtu.be/JzItatmHXYA

Fits perfect. Works perfect. I had to replace both on a 14 year old faucet. Both cartridges came configured for hot. Very simple to slid off a clip and move the cam washer to the other position for cold.Took less than a minute. The customers that complained must be doing something wrong. By the way the Home Depot was the only place that had them. I went to 3 other hardware and pluming supply stores.

Exact Replacement
Easy as removing the old one and popping in the new one. I had to replace the hot water side and made zero adjustments. Not sure what would be involved with the cold water side.
